A 50p head?
I've never thought of that when looking at him.

The middle post on my pic is probably spot on.
They've won, yet people are never happy.
Apparently its his first game for a while too.

He helped us get promoted and always put a shift in. He was never going to be anything other than a hard basic midfielder.

He was at the right place at the right time with us during our promotion seasons. 1st time it was the Vings partnership supplied by Trippier which got us promoted, last season Gray was too much for teams and Barton was the main difference.

Jones just happened to be there. Pretty much sums up his career.

Pretty odd to keep going after Jones when he's not even here and it's totally beyond me why you'd go searching for such information?

Yep, Jones just wandered into Man Utd as a kid, then just happened to be awarded 4 medals for promotion with 3 different clubs.

He'll be the first to admit his football career has all been a happy accident.

Very good player for us. Looking like he could make this year his fifth promotion.

Did a great job for us. Probably left at the right time for both us and him. His best days are probably behind him but I'm not sure why Sheffield Wednesday fans' opinions on him would be of interest to anyone. They certainly don't have any bearing on his time at Burnley.

Jones was great for us but his time was definitely up with us being in the prem.

Looks like he's on a downward spiral according to those fans views.

Still was a very good Champ midfielder when he was with us, terribly one footed but still good at that level.

If he gets a run in their team wouldn't surprise me them getting promoted, Wallace has also been a good player for them after being indifferent for us when he was here.

£1.8m fee for a free transfer was excellent business for us, board played a blinder with that one.

To suggest someone with 4 promotions at 3 different clubs was at the right place at the right time, especially considering he got a good amount of game time, is ludicrous.

I saw him before Christmas v Rotherham.
Thought he was the best player on the pitch.

Neat and tidy, didn't give the ball away. The rest were dross on both sides

I'm not going to criticise him. Did more than an acceptable job for us

Superb for us was Jones and I was a huge fan.he was though, truly diabolical on Friday night!

Having said that, Wallace was the best player on the pitch. Great to see him doing so well.

Midfielder, no bells, no whistles. Is better with better players around him though.

Shame to see he is getting grief from the fans there. Maybe they were expecting too much from him?

Quite a number of managers have consistently picked him and won promotion. These men, with their jobs on the line, pick Jones.

I don't see what he brings. But in view of the evidence of professionals who really rate him, do I accept that they know something I don't? Yes, of course.

A massive part of 2 promotion winning teams with us, I don't care what he does now he's left but I won't slag him off after what the team achieved while he was here.

Not sure it comes as such a shock that Sheffield Wednesday have people posting on their forum who are as stupid as some of ours on here

so basically anyone who has a different opinion to yourself is stupid.. right got it.

I'm surprised he has never been touted for top clubs considering he's so good. Everywhere he's went he was eventually found out and discarded.

Not what I said but it seems you struggle understanding things so it's fine.

I will ask you this way and see if you can just answer honestly with waffling to try and back up your weird agenda.

Of the following 3 which opinion should I consider to be nearer the truth :-

Dyche - who picked him week in week out and didn't want him to leave

You

Sheff Weds fan who for all we know could be the biggest whinger on that site

Some interesting comments on the Wednesday forum there. I love the idea of rating players by the cement content in their legs. There's a few players in Burnley's history who could've been sponsored by Castle Cement.

Playing over 330 games at Premier League or Championship level isn't bad going for a player who has been 'found out.'

I didn't realise he was part of THAT Derby team.

He's a hero in my eyes. Had his limitations, but gave his all for the cause in 2 promotions and 3 wins over Blackburn

Whilst this is absolute rubbish, it's also not reasonable to paint him as being as being an absolute essential to us over his time here either.

He wasn't a stand out player for either of our two promotions, and I think many midfielders in the Championship would have been capable of doing a similar role.

But he was ours, he popped up with some important goals and came up with some important performances that helped us win points along the way.

So I don't know why anyone would act so smug about him from the look of it not even playing poorly, just dividing opinion much like his time here.

He cost us nothing, and went on to play his part in this totally unexpected whirlwind 4 years or so that for many Clarets has been the best times they've seen and perhaps might yet see - So I'm utterly thankful for him, and wish him nothing but the best. I don't know what is wrong with you if you don't feel that way too.

I think this is absolutely spot on.

Great footballer, although lacked a bit of pace and when his legs started to go he got a bit too safe with the ball to compensate which came across as being too negative.
Shame, but I for one remember how he played his part for us and will not forget that, and he's not doing to badly for himself with a sniff of his fifth promotion and getting some game time with his home town team.
