Always remember one bloke against Millwall a few years ago leaning right across the roof and putting his head into Ian Holloway's dug out to have a few choice words, and then having to be helped back into his seat afterwards.

But in answer to the OP, I've heard numerous breakings of wind over the years, but never into song.

Tuneful renditions of "Oh Arfield" and "Greys first touch is crap"' are punctuated by mild emphysema and the dull pop of bursting colostomy bags.

There's often a strange mixed odour of Formaldehyde & mothballs.

I have seen and heard, on rare occasions, a rendition of " - insert manager name - Claret and blue army", in the past. Definitely in the Jimmy Mullen days but only joining in with the other stands and definitely not as a solo attempt

I went to one game in the Bob Lord. It was the 4-1 win over Derby but you'd have thought we'd lost 67-0.

I have only been in once and it was against QPR in the promotion season and thought the atmosphere was quite good. Loads of singing we were next to the away fans though my son loved it.

IMO the bob lords the best view in football. the first row is raised well up so you're far closer to the action. JHU is too far away unless you're in the front couple of rows.

I don't really know how people can criticise the BL to be honest. I've had season tickets in every stand over the years and the the atmosphere is exactly the same in the JM, JHU and BL.

Steeper rake, nearer the pitch,, wider seats, and you don't have to contend with the sun on the occasion it appears or the floodlights in the dark. The main song or chant that comes from Bob Lord is " Come on Burnley" in unison with other three stands when we are pressing, like 2nd half against Leicester.
There is a popular myth that Bob Lord is full of old fogies with blankets and flasks and incontinence problems. Yes there are a few of them in there but I think some of you would be surprised at how many supporters in there are under the age of 40. I am a bit older (late 50's) but have sat in Bob Lord for years. I wouldn't sit anywhere else as the area where I sit offers one of the best unobstructed views in the stadium, in my opinion.

Heard the Jimmy Mullen regularly as well - but never anything started from there

go back to the early 80's and they used to be some very heated Keighley cup finals with lots of noise in there - Given every other school was against Teds and Teds sporting record it used to get quite heated

Being nearer the pitch only means that you can see clearly what's going on near to where you're sitting (obviously), and not clearly what's going on at the other side of the pitch.

Wider seats? So you can place your packed lunch on it as well.

Right so, if the sun isn't out, the floodlights aren't on and ( I don't know how this is relevant) the Longside had a sloping roof and closed ends the fans in there would be able to see as well as the fans in the Bob Lord.

It's been a long running joke about the Bob Lord stand, so no one need get uppity about it. Besides you lot apparently have all the tools (wide seats, sloping roof, closed ends) to make a noise, so why not try and spoil the day and use them.

It isn't rain in the JH lower, its the BFC sprinkler system to keep us cool.

When we won the old 4th division, Wrexham were the party poopers but the Mexican wave was all the rage for most of the season.
Even the Wrexham fans joined in that day and I'm sure most of the Bob Lorders did too.
I remember there were ambulances queuing all down Brunshaw Road as we came out of the ground.

Jesus, dont get on your high horses about the bob lord, there are a few noisy buggers in the cricket field, and thats about it.
Away fans are constantly loud and supportive, but the turf is generally tepid for the most part. When leeds were last here , it sounded more like they were at home.
At least a lot of the bob lord lot were around when the game was genuinley passionate with fans singing spontaneously, not relying on numb, humourless chants made up in a spotty teens bedrooom 2 hours before kick off.

I agree in that I had a season ticket in the Bob Lord for a couple of seasons around 2010-12, and it's the best view of the pitch in the stadium, and best stand for keeping warm in winter. You really do feel warmer in there than any other stand.

I've had season tickets in the Cricket Field, Jimmy Mac and Longside Lower and upper (currently lower part of Longside upper), and preferred the view of the game from the Bob Lord. You feel closer to the action, but high enough to have a great view because of how steep it is. The trick is to get a seat between the pillars. The very bottom of the Longside upper is decent, but cold and wet when it rains, and sun in eyes annoying when that's out.

The people in the BL stand are every bit as much fans of the club as the Neanderthal singers elsewhere in the ground and the atmosphere is the same as any other part of the ground. It is easily the best view of the action too. I have watched from all sections going back to circa 1968 and frankly the further I can get from the singing sections the better.

The way we will beat Chelsea is down to how hard the Bob Lord stand work on the away manager, this will only fail if numpties in the Cricket field stand and James Hargreaves dont support us, and out singers.

Yeah, me, every time I go in. We're the Bob Lord, Burnley etc. I had a go from there when all was silent against Sunderland, as an attempt to humiliate James Defoe. I know he heard me chanting 4-1 Defoe, ahahahahahahha, don't let on it's me, because he looks like a murderer.

I'm as passionate as the next man. I get behind the team. I just can't be bothered with the mindless bravado that some people think equates to support.

My only experience with the Bob Lord stand was a couple of years ago in pre-season against a Spanish team and the game consisted of one old bloke calling then all Spics until he was removed. Quite the day out.

I heard they had agreed a new sponsor "Anderson & Horan"...............
