Scores going our way...

At the moment! Hull lost 2-0, Sunderland losing 2-0 and Palace losing 1-0. We could be 9 points clear with only 13 games left!

Sorry claretandblue, I really don't want to jinx things, it's just that if the bottom 3 keep losing, we won't need 40 points to survive, more like 35/36/37.

Yes they have scored again, in their own net....

Lots of luck for Rovers in these last 2 games!

AAAaahhhhhh!

If it had stayed at 1-0, it'd have made my weekend.....I fancy I could beat Rotherham on my own. Provided I could have a keeper, obviously.

A good set of results for the Clarets, not one winner amongst the bottom teams. Sets us up nicely for tomorrow !

Maths isn't my strong point, but if the bottom 3 keep losing - aren't we safe already?
We would additionally have 38pts as a result of beating them. Happy days!

Should be an easy three points Sunday at the Turf.

I keep saying it, we are highly unlikely to go down. 9 points clear of teams that are clearly inferior to us.

Difficult know how many points we'll need to be certain, but may well only be 35/36 points. Actually think we will finish on 40 plus.

I don't think we can say are clearly inferior to us in all seriousness. Some good sides down there. Hull look to keep improving and have bought real quality in. Swans have come to life a bit recently. Palace have quality but Sam hasn't managed to harness it yet, he may well do. They didn't look bad the Turf, certainly in second half. Sunderland, I think it could be their year for to go down, but other than them, everyone still has a shot.
A good day though for the Clarets. A draw tomorrow would be a cracking weekend!

Well I've had a better look at the remaining fixtures, and we certainly have one of, if not the, hardest remaining games. Purely because of our away record so far this season.

Out of the 12 points on offee today to those bottom 4... Only 1 point collected.... And of course the bottom three all lost.

Excellent afternoon and takes a bit of pressure off tomorrow.

I am being serious mybloodisclaret. As they say, the table doesn't lie and we are 9 and 10 points ahead of Hull and Palace. Therefore inferior to us after more than half the season played.

We are a very efficient team and edging ever closer to that first away win. We have also brought in quality, have we not?

I'm glad we have the 9 point cushion because that will be very important. But there's a case for every team at the bottom to avoid the drop when taking into account form and fixtures. None of them look buried yet. Which makes it harder for us.

Got my tickets for Hull. If we beat them there is no way they are going to catch us.
Meanwhile a draw tomorrow would be a further boost to us edging away from the relegation battle.

Funny thing is, those clarets that refuse to believe we are very likely to be safe and argue the case for the bottom 3's chances of survival, would have us dead and buried if we were languishing in the bottom 3 on 19 points.:-)

Good thing is, were getting to the business end of the season, and it's all in our own hands.
You'd think we can get a couple more wins and two or three draws.
Reckon that'll do us.

The way Chelsea are playing at the moment you could almost be forgiven if you said you'do be happy being 9 clear with just 1 less in the GD column.

Hull played well again today and probably deserved a draw.

Swansea look a lot better under new manager.

We have a really tough next few games given our away results.

Whilst results were good today - we need to start getting results away from home as the table could look very different when we play our next home game v Spurs.

Of course if we beat Chelsea then you can scrap everything I've just said and it's top 4 for the Clarets !!

As SD has said so many many times; one game at a time. Our away form has to improve at some stage surely, but equally we cannot rely just on our home form given tomorrow's visitors then Spurs and Utd. WHU WBA and Stoke will be no push overs either. I do hope our cup run to the SF won't mess up our league form

If anythings going to change it's going to be us losing at home or us picking up points away. Based on recent performances I reckon the latter is more likely. Come on Burnley!!!

I put a fiver on a 4.0 win for the mighty Clarets tomorrow, at Ladbrokes! 350 to 1!

I'd just had a full breakfast at 2 strong coffees at whethers.

The woman behind the counter said, "id genuinely love to pay you out on that one love"

A fool and his money eh......

Swansea and Hull are two of the only teams to stop us at the turf. We arent safe yet!

I just think we need two more wins and we are safe. I can't see the 18th placed club getting 35 points.

Couldnt see Clement getting a win, never mind three straight away and one at anfield!

Hull winning against Liverpool. Sunderland 4-0 away. Leicester destroyed City.

Its a funny old game.

I did have 35 as enough, but after the January transfer, I think teams like Swansea and Hull have improved. I don't think 35 points will now be enough. 2 wins and a draw? We'll be close.

Embarrassed now, here's me a Burnley fan for more than 40 years. The majority of those as ST holder and I have just realised that I know "jack sh*t" about my club! :D

For absolute clarity, as one of a minority of fans taking a positive stance, I BELIEVE we will stay up from what I have witnessed this season irrespective of the threat from teams that are apparently going to make up the 9/10 point gap.

Not sure they are good examples cricketfield, both early in the season when we were still finding our way. Not sure the results would be the same if playing us now at the Turf.

Swansea will get 35 points easily as will Hull

Leicester will struggle to get to 30 points as will Crystal Palace

The others not so sure about.
