And we're doing it all without goal music

Is there any correlation between relying on the team and fans feeding eachother to create an atmosphere and our huge success at home of late? Put another way, would we be doing as well with the tin pot goal tune ringing around?

I genuinely believe that blasting that nonsense out of the pa instead of allowing unadulterated and spontaneous celebration undermined our solidarity. It's soooooo much better now. The players must prefer hearing our sustained roars than witnessing the correographed jig along to Tom Hark.

Hopefully 'who are ya' is our only goal song for many more seasons to come.

If we had goal music today maybe we would have won 3-1.........!!

We've hopefully heard the last of it at the Turf.

We did win the Championship with it. Personally I would like it back ...but I realise that is a minority view here.

Can I ask why you would like it back?

I don't get what it adds to the game / atmosphere.

It was obviously unpopular but personally I couldn't give a toss either way.

Goal music was pants but more likely fans in the Cricketfield end is the reason the atmosphere is supposedly so much better. I say supposedly because I don't actually attend games. Excuse me.

The correlation between results and the CFS Being regained cannot be a coincidence.

The lack of goal music is though!

It's a no no from me but my wife would like it brought back. Personally think it's cheap, nasty and gimmicky. We have proved we can generate our own goal celebrations and lets face it we've had plenty of practice so far this season and long may it continue.

No to the goal music. It's had it's day. A spontaneous response to a goal is all we need. This is not America, thank goodness.

God I had forgotten how truly awful that crap goal music was.

We should test it against Lincoln, just for comedy value to see the confusion!

As a slight aside, our PA bloke was worse than ever today on announcing the teams to the field.

It's getting a tad embarrassing and disrespectful.

Just announce that the teams are coming on to the pitch without the over exaggerated BURNLEY or THE CLARETS (never BURNLEY FOOTBALL CLUB) followed by the hugely downbeat and our visitors chelsea.

I can't remember how many years it's been since I left the Turf regularly without much of a voice left, but this season I don't leave many games with it, and the celebrations are mental constantly, like years ago. The celebrations go on louder and longer without the music, and it's all the better for it. When you look around you see strangers hugging each other again, rather than rhythmically putting their hands in the air.

it was hugely embarrassing and stupid, made the turf sound like some non league ground on the outskitrts of Northampton.
lower league teams fans seem to lap up this kind of tripe, and wrestling fans, and darts followers. seems to be a certain type.

Whilst I don't miss goal music and hope it never returns, I still live in hope that one day we'll see the Fancy Pants Dog Troupe at the Turf again.

Imagine actually preferring an embarrassing, synchronised, moronic dance to a pathetic tune that gets laughed at and ridiculed by visiting fans.

I'm seething at the thought of that goal-celebration ruining nonsense and hope to never, ever hear it again.

Celebrating a goal is much more enjoyable without the music.

We should have 15-20 years without it, make it an even and fair experiment. Only after a prolonged absence could we make the informed decision that it should never grace the time after a goal ever again.
