Are you relating to the yellow ones protecting people from the rain sleet and cold?

Bit different when the players are running around on the pitch and the fans are sat in the same place for 90 minutes

Exactly! Sat for up to two hours in the freezing elements along with the sleet and rain leaves a person open to getting hyporthermia i would think.

Not really as I'm sure if it's inclimate weather you would have appropriate attire for coming and going from the stadium.

A mate of mine sits in a wheelchair after a stroke.situated near scoreboard he had one on,couldnt shake hands today as he was wrapped up in said poncho.he was freezing along with most softies.I admire him simply for turning up on suffering a stroke never mind wearing a poncho! Well done that man and others in a similar position.

You obviously have nothing else in your life to post such a first world problem. Grow up, eff off and let people stay wet or dry according to their choices .

Telling someone to grow up and eff off in the same sentence is quite something.

As stated the weather.freezing weather along with rain increases your chances of hyporthermia. Back in the day of terracing most able bodied people were packed in like sardines jumping up and down to keep warm....why dont you put your armchair outside fora couple of hours in the morning and relax in the garden.id wear a coat though.

I wore a waterproof pacamac and a couple of thermal layers. I was still soaked and still cold - next time I'll take a poncho too.

Inclimate weather
Often mistakenly used when the phrase "inclement weather" should be used, the phrase "inclimate weather" actually means "unseasonable weather" due to climate change.

"Inclement weather" means "unpleasant weather which is stormy, rainy, or snowy," and that can also be the meaning of "inclimate weather" when the weather is supposed to be pleasant. However, when the climate and the time of year normally would bring stormy, rainy, or snowy weather, inclimate weather" is sunny or pleasant weather.

I suppose you 'MrHungry' were wearing a mankini and eating icecream - unless of course you were watching at home on the telly

I find that 5 bene n hots' pre match negates the necessity to wear either (a) thermals or (b) a poncho. Just thought I'd throw it out there.

It wouldn't be a problem if we were allowed to stand up. Sitting in the rain is crap. Standing isn't too bad. And there are loads of holes in the JM roof - most of which look to be there deliberately for past light fittings or something.
