Enjoy him whilst he's here. The bloke is going to play for England for years and years. He's absolutely class.

He's another Cahill. A solid central defender who we know will move on to bigger things.

I must say, he made Robert Brady look about 4 foot 2!

On one break away I noticed Ben was shouting at Keane to get over to cover the other striker (think it was Costa) but Keane didn't, leave the both of them back pedaling within a foot of each other.
Ball gets played to the loose man, Mee reads it perfectly, tackles and clears for a throw.

Other than that Keane was superb. Costa won't have many tougher games this season.

And when he was caught 'square on' for their goal. First time I've seen the usually immense Keane make a couple of mistakes. Interesting these weren't mentioned in the players ratings thread which demonstrates how blinkered we sometimes are. Heaven forbid we critise our golden boy. Amazing player who had a great game however there was a couple of errors

To be fair to Keane, him ignoring Mee was what drove the Chelsea player on the outside which allowed Mee to nip in behind to intercept the layoff. Similar to when Mee got himself in a muddle and lost the ball to Costa, his slide looked like Costa had done him but actually it drove him back at Keane who was covering behind and comfortably blocked the shot. The way we almost close ranks to a back 6 when the opposition reach the penalty area is what allows the centre backs to double up like that.

Keane was caught square for the goal but I don't think any defender on the planet would have been able to do anything differently there and but for a lucky deflection on Moses layoff the ball wouldn't have found Pedro anyway and in fact I think the ball would likely have headed straight to Keane to clear.

He looked a few levels above Cahill yesterday - and we really are going to have to stop putting him up for interviews alongside less tall Clarets. At least yesterday's didn't look quite so bad as when they interviewed him and Steven Defour.

If we can secure PL status over the next few weeks we might as well have one last go at getting him to sign an extended contract in the region of £50k a week. Probably unlikely and he'll go in the summer for around £20m, but I'm sure the club will do all it can.

After that display I'm sure Conte will be considering a summer bid
Noticed also, in pre match newspaper articles, that Conte was highlighting his knowledge of the positive attributes of Gray.
Given that Costa will be going to the Chinese takeaways in the summer there could be some interest shown with him as well

Cahill has been having 'dips' in his form the last couple of years.
MK looks better. And he's had a lot more defending to do. He's going to be amongst the first names in an England squad sooner rather than later.
If/when he goes, l hope we get his worth when you look at what Citeh spent on Stones.

I think one thing in our favour if/when Keane goes, is that there is a strong likelihood of there being an auction for him - I can see 3/4 clubs being interested and some cute negotiating should leave us in a good place!

Keane is destined for bigger things - top 6 club....he`d get in United Everton or Liverpool team right now.
City under Pep would ruin him like they did with John Stones.
Spurs would probably bench him initially.
Arsenal under Wenger would probably not buy him after spending so much on Mustafi and giving Koscienly a new contract (personally I think he is better than Mustafi)
Chelsea would be an interesting one - and I think they might be the place he goes. Luiz is playing with a knee injury ; Cahill is getting older and slower. Azpliqueta looks brilliant in a back 3 and right now is a better player than Keane. If they were in the champions league it does not sound like Luiz could play every week and Cahill would be exposed....and I do not think Conte fancies Zouma or Terry.

He`s worth £30m - and as fans we should be glad that we have had the pleasure of him in a Claret shirt.

Ben Mee has been brilliant these last 12 months and I think he is happy to stay at Burnley. Tarks is great cover and certainly looks technically gifted and comfortable on the ball and obviously commanding in the air with his size.

My worry would be that losing Keane we would be exposed for pace. There were a couple of times yesterday (and every other week) where Keane just seems to shift gear when it looks like we are in big trouble. Its this pace that makes Keane a £30m centre back instead of a £10m one. Its why Koscienly is so valuable to Arsenal and its why the likes of Liverpool with a slow Lovren concede too many goals.

Would love him to stay but the opportunity to play in a top 6 team, in Europe and the profile / exposure he would then get to play for England is understandably hard to resist....Le Tissier did it for all those years at Southampton when he had chances to move to bigger clubs but he is the exception and its hard to think of any player who has done this recently when opportunity knocks.

As good as Gray is for us, there is no way he would get in Chelseas team. His lack of composure is his biggest flaw. The best teams have strikers that don't even need to think.

Well, Stones cost citeh fifty mil.

Bearing in mind MK is far better, you can calculate his worth, even with a short contract,
because there's going to be superpower clubs falling over each other to get his signature.

But hopefully he stays, of course.

If Keane is to go in the summer and I still believe there may be a chance we keep him
then I don't think we should accept anything less than 25m even though he may only have
one year left on his contract.
Stones cost close to 50m and Keane has the potential to do as well, if not better.
And after a year performing well in the Premier League he's got some experience and
age on his side too. If he continues to improve then he'll be a 40+ million player within another year.

Finding a replacement for him won't be easy either.
You pay 10-15m for a decent Championship player with potential to make it in the Premier League
so 25m minimum for Keane sounds not a bad deal, me thinks.

We could, if we stay up afford to pay him 50k a week without necessarily having to
up every other players' salary to near that mark.

It could be an interesting time during the summer especially if we stay up
in a decent position, which may net us another 10m or so.
We're still likely to be in the black too so we could be, in our terms, quids in
and with a pretty decent amount to spend on new players.

I'm more confident in our ability to replace central defenders than any other position, as long as Dyche is here. He knows what makes a good defender and invariably gets the best out of them.

I'm amazed City, United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal, Everton or Barcelona haven't already bid. He's going to be in the England team for yonks and yonks and yonks.

If Dyche stays, he might stay for another season but if I was on the board of any of the above clubs, I'd call Mike Garlick and say name your price.

We already have the replacement thanks to good planning. We need to sign the next young un for the the production line and an experienced back up CB.

If we don't get £30m I will be very disappointed. What % over £3m will MU get?

Got invaluable game time at the right standard for his age through the loan system. Made a brave decision to leave Utd and join us. Was prepared to be patient and learn under Dyche. Keane will go on to have a hugely successful and rewarding career in football and, when the time comes, I will wish him well and enjoy his success.
