Isn't this the last year (if they stay up) that they are allowed to put all away fans in the gods?

It is. Moving away fans up there was done by the owner I believe without consultation. I assume they will just move the away fans back to the other end. If they go down though they can leave it as it is.

Same will apply to Newcastle if they get promoted.

Its not to bad at Sunderland as your on the corner side and view is OK
Newcastle's is different, owt going on at the far end of the ground is anyone's guess the view reminds me of Lowery picture

What is the reason behind having to relocate from the upper tiers?

New Premier League ruling that away fans have to be located at pitchside.

The ruling is that clubs have to provide some pitchside seating for away fans.

If we dont win here, I wouldnt say we deserve to go down but there would be serious questions over why we can compete at home and not away.

For what its worth I think we will win.

Last time we were in the Prem our performance at Sunderland was one of the worst.

We really need something out of this game, but I would be ok with us not being beaten.

Not quite. For example, Newcastle could leave us up in the gods and just provide a few seats at pitchside.

They only have to provide some.

Why would you want pitchside seats? Any time I've sat pitchside the view has been appalling. Much prefer 'the gods' at Newcastle to the front row seat I had at Anfield.

How come the Sunderland tickets have come on before Liverpool?

Probably because chances are the Liverpool game will be postponed until after the Sunderland one.

Maybe we've done a Lincoln and asked them for a 3rd of the ground!

I wondered that too until I remembered that should we get past Lincoln, the QF will be played that weekend so the game would be rearranged

Will be amazed if we've managed to shift 3000 tickets so quickly, still 3 weeks till the game. Suppose the club will announce something tomorrow.

BIG game though jrgbfc, could well be the 3 points which seal our place in the BIG time for next season.

Bought mine last Monday over the phone, it took ages to get through.

Not sure what you mean by 'so quickly', as they first went on sale last Monday to ST holders with 3000 points requirement and then to ST holders with no points requirement from last Wednesday.

By quickly I mean that there's still 3 weeks to the game. It's not exactly a glamour game and at a ground we've been to plenty of times in last few years. Wouldn't be surprised if it's a problem with the online system, hoping so anyway cos I haven't sorted my ticket out yet!

Missed out my own fault, I have nearly 6000 pts. I was waiting for them to go on general sale so I could get 3 together, with mates who don't have enough points.

Won't do that again they will have to sort themselves out

It now appears that they have gone back on line and added another batch. So Sunderland not Sold Out.

One of my muckers has now got them.

They showed up as sold out last night before general sale. Now available and online so got all mine. It may have been that they were simply unavailable as the status changed re who they were available to. Happy days.
