TOTAL EMBARRASMENT

Every starter today should give this weeks wage to charity.
Typical British arrogance. We only need to turn up to win.
You start them matches fast and run them into the ground.

We stooped to their level. Barton falling for Rheads tricks was something id not expect from a player of his skill and experience.

To be honest I'm more embarrassed with the performance even more so than the result

Disgraceful performance, Lincoln were the better team

Typical of the sort of arrogance shown by Burnley fans this week as we'll. No hassle we are allowed off days congratulations Lincoln unfortunately it is what I expected after reading this board this week oh well you live and learn.

I genuinely wish I never see Scott Arcield wear a Burnley shirt again.

I think our lack of craft/creativity with the ball showed, the worrying thing is, we played a near full strength team and didn't look like scoring. The most embarrassing loss as a Burnley fan since I started watching and Lincoln fully deserved the win. I have no idea what our players were doing for the corner either, that lad was given 15 yards of space in the penalty area to nod it back across, Heaton has to command his area, it's under his bar. Shocking but I won't go on anymore, otherwise I will be branded negative and ''only post when we lose''

The majority should be ashamed of themselves-no control, no creativity and a sad display of a lack of disciplne by several players, especially Joey. A few of them including Flanagan were absolutely dire

It is definitely time to send Flanagan home.

"we played a near full strength team"?

We had 4 of our strongest starting 11 starting the game

Walking back to my car after the match and it feels awful. It was our worst home performance for years. But at the end of the day it's a blip in an otherwise great season (so far).

Flanagan is possibly one of the worst players I have seen at this level.

Only Darikwa played anything like in my opinion.

I can't help but think that Hendrick's suspension and Defour's injury left us without options in the middle of the park. We lacked craft and energy.
I also think that we should have started with our first choice fullbacks. Flanagan and Darikwa are a poor, poor substitute.

Totally agree regarding Gray. Yes he has had a hatrick in the premises, but his first touch is woefull, his passing is no existent, his pace us not what it used to be and his shooting always goes down the centre of the goal or over the bar. All the players need to have a look at themselves and Darokwa, Flanagan should never wear the shirt again.

No excuse whatsoever.

We were more intent on getting ourselves involved in the physical elements of the game.

Awful, awful performance and we got exactly what we deserved - an embarrassing defeat. Well done Lincoln.

I thought Darikwa and Tarkowski were our best players and Keane was ok.

Mind you that didn't take much doing as the rest were dire

Dyche will protect the players in public no doubt but I hope he sends them home with their ears ringing.

On the plus side this Lincoln fans stuck here :D

Lincoln deserved it. Players played better and wanted it more.

It says everything when Darikwa gets my MOM nomination! Shoddy work from all of them today and even Dyche gets criticism for not recognising the problem earlier and sending on the remaining 2 subs. Barton was disgusting with the play acting and cheeky stamp. Flanagan looked like he wanted to be elsewhere, Gray was as bad as I have ever seen him, Vokes anonymous, Tarkowski awful, Heaton poor at managing his defence today and Lincoln played away from Keane whenever they could.

It highlighted the fact that we need better ball players on the pitch, it hurt losing JBG so early.
It also highlighted the fact that Boyd and Arfield aren't good enough for our present position. No matter how hard they work defensively, their use of the ball in the final third is often pub football standard.
High balls just played into Lincolns hands. We needed to get the ball on the deck and keep it there, but we didn't have the quality on the pitch to do it.

Agree, but how many times do you need to be put through on goal to put it in that back of the net?

On a positive today was a reality check about 3 or 4 of the players. Also I have now lost confidence that Joey will keep his cool in future games and cost us the points.

To defend Boyd he does what is needed of him and is a vital part of our current league match system, picked out for praise v Chelsea on MOTD.
What we cannot expect though is for him to replace the creativity of JBG, Defour or Brady such as he was asked to do today with our line up.

Boyd is good when we are against a top team. When we play against teams equal to or worse then us it shows that he offers as much attacking intent as an aborted foetus

Darikwa, Flanagan and Arfield not good enough #sendflannohome

Our squad is built around being able to drag stronger teams into a scrap rather than a competition based on skill & technique. It works for us against better teams, but unfortunately it leaves us susceptible to falling into the same trap when playing supposedly weaker sides.

To lose to Accy and Lincoln in the same season is embarrassing. The complete lack of quality and composure from the likes of Gray, Arfield Boyd, Westwood & Barton today was pathetic. Flanagan was miles off the pace again, Darikwa offers nothing beyond Athleticism and I think all assumptions that Tarkowski is the second coming of Beckenbauer can be laid to one side now.

Maybe having the likes of JBG, Defour or Brady on the pitch might have made a difference, but when playing against a team 4 divisions below we really shouldn't be having that discussion.

This .

Although they should have been good enough to beat a non league side . We looked nervy, and neither of them believed in themselves enough

I can only guess that they did a lot more "homework" than we did, and wanted it a lot more.
I think today we've seen the side of Joey Barton that we really don't need at our club.

I actually agreed with your post.
We were truly awful. Little composure when it mattered just about anywhere on the pitch.

We done Lincoln.
No fluke, just fully deserved.

Nail on the head. We were poor but they deserved it nothing more. Its not long since we were losing league games to lincoln.

Its actually poignont its 30 years since they slipped out of the league in our place.

We were bad but hopefully its a wakeup call. These things happen.

Not sure what was wrong with Arfield performance, he was poor but no worse than most. At least he showed for the ball. Westwood and Barton are meant to be our Centre mids and they were silent. Arfield was part of some of our better passages of play. People are only remembering his miss in the second half.

Gray was terrible. Flanagan was an embarrassment.

I keep having a deep sick feeling in the pit of my stomach and then 5 minutes later cracking a smile. Going round in a cycle, football is such a strange game

I was suprised not to see a post match interview by Dyche, hope he hasn't spat his dummy out.

This, his flick on the Gray was one of the rare pieces of good movement and creativity.

I'm surprised that Darikwa is coming in for so much stick, at least he tried.
Nothing really wrong with Tarkowski or Keane for that matter...not so good after that, though.
