Gawthorpe...latest news?
Does anyone have any updates on an official opening date for Gawthorpe?
Re: Gawthorpe...latest news?
No, but having watched the camera the tradesmen in vans have been on site a while now and from the last player video internally it was taking shape.
On that basis and the amount of heavy machinery gone I'd say imminently.

Think it is still on schedule to be completed by end of March but not certain whether the first team will move in or not, had been suggestions they would wait until next pre-season.

Re: Gawthorpe...latest news?
I was told that the club would be filming an update last week, and that they planned to have that online soon. I noticed a Twitter feed for a kitchen company showing photos of the new Kitchen/serving area in the players lounge, and it looked very close to completion. Carpets, tables and sofas were already in.

The four photos were on a Google Images search for Barnfield Training Ground. They don't seem to be there anymore, although they were earlier today. Shouldn't have long to wait though, as I know the club were planning on filming an update last week.

Not very professional quoting Dyche as speaking in his gravelly voice.eastcoastclaret wrote:Walt, here is the link

Re: Gawthorpe...latest news?
Lots of shouting, bawling and the sound of backsides being kicked when I took the dog for a walk this morning. Nothing else to report

All looks smart. Hopefully we'll be able to beat non-league sides after all this investment!!

The late Frank Teasdale brought me to visit Gawthorpe . I appreciate that it is being developed for the on going and future generations to enjoy .

Looks like a bog standard works canteen to me. Nothing wrong with that I suppose; do they have to bring a packed lunch now as I guess Burnley Road chippie will be out of bounds given all these new wizzie nutritional ideas.

I used to train with Dave Lewis At Rossy Harriers. He was sponsored by Hollands but said it wasn't just a gimmick they were good for you.Garnerssoap wrote:Fish chips and mushy peas is surprisingly nutritious.

He could never have beaten Alf Tupper, the tough of the track though.

Hope they've got good anti flash doors. Don't want all the dry powder going off at once

Alf Tupper only ran in mile races not Marathons lads. I've just checked in my extensive collection of Victor Annuals !!!!
