Debatable really. He has been looking for another shot at management for ages after his last couple of failed attempts and it has been a while since anyone was stupid enough to let him take the helm.
Management requires a large amount of good luck, and we all know that Dowie has nothing but bad looks.

Please Tim Sherwood. I'd even be willing to see him keep them up this season just so he's in charge of getting them fit over the summer. They'd be a surefire bet to finish rock bottom the following year.

He spent the evening on Sky's soccer special. He was part of the conversation with and about Cotterill wanting the job. Although I don't have a problem managerial ability wise with cotterill, as I did with coyle, I think as another ex Burnley manager, he'd be on a loser with rovers fans from the start.

He may be an awful manager and a fairly loathsome chap, but his record as a manager is very good in terms of games won and / or not lost.
