If you're talking about him making his MPs vote for Brexit then isn't he embracing democracy by accepting the referendum result and not trying to over turn it like some others?

Trump.

Whether you agree with his policies or not (and I don't) he is the first politician in my memory to come into power and start to implement the policies he promised during the campaign. Instead of the weasel generation of politicians we currently have - for examples the Lib Dems who as soon as got a sniff of power completely discarded their principles and supporters in one fell swoop.

Trump is a lunatic but you can't argue his supporters have been short changed.

So you'd vote for Trump (as per the OP) even though you don't agree with his policies and think he's a lunatic?

Trump is an idiot, but corbyn is no better. Corbyn is unelectable and makes this country worse by allowing the tories a free reign to do whatever they want by being unelectable. He should go and give somebody who can push the tories a chance.

On that basis, my vote goes to Trump.

I've read just read that post and i've come to two conclusions. 1) you don't know what fascism is, and 2) your thinking - if we can call it that - is all over the place.

You criticising him for not embracing democracy while also criticising him for not siding with the majority of his MPs by quitting, over the majority of Labour members who have twice elected him leader.
When he does demonstrate that he obeys democratic decisions in a manner you like you criticise him for it by saying he's only "pretending".

You criticised him for ruling with an iron fist and demanding absolute loyalty to his views while also criticising him for not towing the party line over Brexit.

You've criticised him for a three-line whip to get his MPs to vote for Brexit to proceed (wait, i thought he was "pretending"?) as if that makes him a fascist yet conveniently forget, or perhaps you're just ignorant to, the fact that Cameron used a three-line whip to vote down an EU referendum in 2011, and that whipped votes are hardly a new thing.

You've even criticised him for "probably" voting against the Good Friday Agreement with absolutely no evidence to support it.

If you think that post 62 of that thread will make people "see the light" you're utterly, and desperately, delusional.
There are actually good arguments to be made against Corbyn's leadership, but your diarrhoea of a forum post doesn't get close to any of them.

Trump's latest ploy is to exclude certain members of the press from official press conferences. So today CNN, the Washington Post, and the LA Times were persona non grata. So much for the freedom of the press.

But the point is, by excluding certain voices, you're opening up the possibility of Trump totally controlling the press, like Putin does in Russia. I'm getting to realize why they're such good friends. Do you trust second-hand news, Vino?

This is why you should verify for yourself what they tell you, but too many people would prefer to only trust either when they say things they like and then call them untrustworthy when they say things they don't.

Corbyn isn't a fascist - not that the word has a great deal of meaning anymore - but he's certainly a friend of fascism.

Trump's a nasty old racist and a full blown facist. Electable though, as it turns out. Jeremy's just a contrary buffoon who doesn't realise the joke isn't funny anymore.

One thing they do have in common, along with their lunatic followers and disciples, is their default position of blaming the 'mainstream media'. You could easily imagine them in an old folk's home together, mumbling their deluded, paranoid nonsense.

It'd make for a happy scene, if one didn't have his finger on a few thousand nukes and the other wasn't dismantling all opposition to the tories in the UK. But there we are.

Corbyn is a fascist because I disagree with him.

Trump is also a fascist because I don't like him and I disagree with plenty of what he says.

The two of them actually share a lot of their politics - they're both very much into trade protectionism and using the state to 'stimulate' the economy and they both dislike the EU.

In a straight race I'd have to plump for Trumpy-bum because there's a good chance he wouldn't completely wreck the economy but Corbyn almost certainly would.

It's remarkable how quickly so many people will side with an actual fascist over someone like Corbyn. Someone who actually believes that a free press is the enemy of the people over a Corbyn because they don't like his policies on Trident, or something. You'd rather a hate-filled racist who kept a book of Hitler's speeches by his bed over Corbyn because you don't like Corbyn's economic policies.

I'm hoping some of these posts aren't entirely serious because it's genuinely embarrassing to see so many Burnley fans choosing who is essentially an early 30s Hitler over a pretty mainstream western socialist.

I'm not defending Trump, merely saying he would be less damaging to our economy than Corbyn.

I knew you were joking, but I was being serious. The man is a fascist. I can provide a ton of evidence to show that he's a fascist. I'm not over-using the term. Just because other people misuse the word doesn't make it OK for you to dismiss the times when someone who doesn't misuse it uses it. It's pretty obvious to me that you're just using other people misusing it on other occassions to avoid having to address this occassion when it's actually a fair description of someone who you would rather have in charge of things here over someone who is a mainstream socialist who actually supports western democratic principles.

Here's an opinion article the Washington Post published that should explain it enough for you to understand.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions ... a47d53b2b7" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And here's a Reddit post, fully sourced, that provides dozens of examples of evidence that supports the idea that he is a fascist.
https://www.reddit.com/r/EnoughTrumpSpa ... rump_is_a/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'm under no illusions that you might possibly change your mind on Trump, the man could literally tweet support for any of the far-right terrorists who have stirred since his election and you'll still try to explain it away, but it's well-meaning fools like you who are the threat to democracy. You deny simple facts about dangerous people simply because you don't like the messenger.

the press isn't free or impartial by any means. They all trot out deliberate misinformation and twist stories to suit their agenda.

Generally The MSM in this country is left leaning ( particularly the BBC ) and as such they look to aggressively smear those who upset their apple cart. Look at UKIP recently. The press have gone out their way and ran a smear campaign against UKIP.

Trump is similar. I'm sure the vast majority of people
Couldn't care less about Trump before he ran for president.

Typical tactics of the lefties is shout and scream at those who disagree with them, often continuing to the throw mud until some of it sticks. Of course outside their fantasy they have very little idea of how real life actually works.Generally they like to demonstrate and force their views down people's throats, they have the time to do his because they don't contribute much in the form of productive vocations.
