Not sure if we've had this before, if we have I apologise.
Currently on holiday and whilst listening to my iPod on shuffle, Going Home by Mark Knopfler came on.
Not heard it for a long time and I still think it's a great track.
Just wondering what anyone else's favourite instrumental tracks are?

There's loads by bands that mainly do instrumentals like Mogwai, Godspeed You! Black Emperor or Durutti Column etc. But in the spirit of bands/artists that usually do vocals also, I'm going for Glistening Glyndebourne by John Martyn.

Saw Fleetwood Mac back in about 1966 at the Queensway Hall in Dunstable so I assume Peter Green was still with them back then.
Tbh not my type of music but they were performing about a 10 minute walk away from my home so it was convenient and was also somewhere to meet the young ladies.
I was just a young 'un at the time.

I'm with Firthy, longsidetrumpet/basil6345789 and Earl Van Dyke, but its 6 by 6 and memories of the Rose Room. It's official then that the said Funk Brothers are the Bee Hole End official band. Genuinely question Corky can you suggest something less obvious but just as good?

I notice that Booker T Jones quite rightly gets a few mentions. Those people might want to listen to his Sound The Alarm LP which he brought out a few years ago, 2012 I think it was.
