Interesting information come to light at Companies' House...

Each year, a limited Company has to make a statement, effectively confirming who are the major decision makers and controlling owners..
This normally includes a list of shareholders, which larger Companies usually do by a " Bulk " electronic message ( Imagine, Lloyds Bank having to list each and everyone of it's shareholders, it would run into millions ! )

Burnley FC Holdings have used this method for the last few years, but this years return includes the names of each of the 1,738 Shareholdings, who between them hold the 122,478 Ordinary Shares in Burnley FC Holdings Ltd. The overwhelming majority of Shareholders have between 1 - 30 shares each, with families owning perhaps a Share each passed down through the generations..

The major decision makers are listed as Mike Garlick and John Banaszkiewicz, as you would expect, each declaring that they own/control between 25/50 % of the Shares..

I seem to recall that there was an option for 2008/9 season ticket holders to receive 1 share instead of a free season ticket for 2009/10 when the club did a Premier League Pledge?

I think most of the single shareholders (myself included) will have purchased their share as part of the Premier League pledge in 2009. From memory the share equates to £200 and you got the rest of the value of your season ticket back (although my memory is hazy these days).

I bought 5 shares (minimum holding) @ £200 each as a gesture when Barry Kilby invested £3M.

Subsequently went up to 10 shares minimum @ £200 each.

2009/10 season ticket holders could pay for their "free tickets" for shares.

Believe now 10 shares @ £200 is the minimum but for major investments £150/share is possible.

Braeburn Trading Ltd. 18,673 (15.2%)
Co.UTC Ltd 14810 (12.1%) I am guessing is John B?
BSK Ltd 3000 (2.4%) I am assuming is Barry Kilby?
The other directors, Flood, Crab & Nelson are about 4000 each (3.3% each)

I think I saw some interesting share holders in there;
Ingleby, Endsleigh(200), Clarets Trust(171) and Richard Sutton? (417)

I am just trying to sort out in my mind who owns what.
I am not about to bid for the club.

The Total BSK references are Barry and Sonya Kilby, yeah.

I believe the £1 shares cost £50/share up to March 1999, but public purchase was not easily available.

A "right issue to purchase" from the above date was then made available @£1k minimum investment.

AGM's were held annually with cups of tea, with biscuits on good years, made available to shareholders.

Now much broader share ownership but no AGM's sadly.

You could buy single £200 shares in the 00's

I'm curious about Braeburn Trading Ltd, they don't appear to be a UK company.

On a separate note, I wonder what Mike Garlick's company CLARETS GO LARGE LIMITED is for (mainly just because of the comedy name).

Also notable that for the noises that the Clarets Trust made about buying shares and gaining some influence they have just over a tenth of a percent of the total shareholding.

If the Youth fund monies from ClaretsMad/UpTheClarets were used to buy up shares instead of donating to the youth fund.

Would we have enough clout to alter the price of a pie?

Looks like it is a dissolved Company but a director is named as Andrew Clark and a Mary Clark as company secretary based in Helensburgh near Glasgow.

I doubt it's anything to do with them, it was dissolved 12 years ago and only turning over £12k p/a at that point with only a small amount of assets in the bank.

Clarets Go Large was only established in January 2017, and was a rename of a Michael Bailey Associates company.

Bailey was the maiden name of the wife of Mike Garlick.

By the way, on the link provided by aggi in post#24.......the name listed against No. 173 is something of a shocker!

My single share is mentioned but my 99% ownership must have been mislaid!

I paid £200 and it has been very worthwhile. It was when I was struggling to get tickets for away matches, as everyone else seemed to be ahead of me, even though I attended away matches and they didn't!

In 1986, I purchased 3 shares, for £45.00 I couldn't really afford, to help the club.Nice to see I am listed there.

It is Dr Venkataswamy Narayana, who worked and was a senior partner at Thursby Surgery on Browhead Road for many years.

Fascinating list

Amazed to find that I am the joint 48th largest shareholder and the joint 38th largest personal shareholder. Not saying much, however, given that most of the shares are owned by the top few shareholders!
