Just seen this and thought it may affect some people's journeys tomorrow:
"ROAD CLOSURE REMINDER

Please note this weekend from 9pm on Friday 3rd March to 5am on Monday 6th March there is a total closure of the A556 Chester Road in both directions from M6 junction 19 to M56 junction 7 at Bowdon. This includes the M6 southbound exit and access slip roads at junction 19, the M56 east and westbound exit slips at junction 7 and M56 junction 8. This is as previously notified.

At 5am on Monday 6th March the new A556 will open. There will no longer be access to Chester Road from Bowdon roundabout and no access to Chester Road from M6 junction 19 roundabout. All traffic will go on to the new A556. Chester Road will become designated the B5569."

This will put up house values along the old 556.

Not another ct bus route is it..........

Thanks bfcmik - we would almost certainly have gone that way tomorrow. It's not a problem to us, we can use the M60/M62 or even go down the M65 to the M6. The new A556 will certainly be a big improvement.
