I'll be in Liverpool all weekend, but I've opted out of getting a ticket for the match.

When the rest go on the game, I'm going to set off back home.

Not a proper fan anymore, if it WOULD OF been Tranmere away I'd be all over it

Been to West Brom and Man U this season so a mixed bag!

Watching on TV myself and hope the below gives all some confidence.

"We have played 8 league games in 2017.

Vs United, Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal = 8 points

Vs Sunderland, Swansea, Hull, Leicester = 1 point"

The above is c&p from a Lfc message board.

The Arkles pub, close to where the away coaches park and 2 minutes from the ground, allows away fans in.

Although I haven't actually been in it, just around the corner from the Arkles, and a few more minutes further away from the ground, is the Flat Iron pub.

Any advice on where to *safely* park? Is it worth the park and ride or is there somewhere within walking distance from the ground?

I'll be doing what I usually do for matches at Anfield or Goodison.

Drive to Ormskirk, park ( free ) at the station, get the train to Kirkdale, and walk to the ground from there across Stanley Park.

In the 60's and 70's walking through Stanley Park was not for the faint hearted!

You're right there, Leisure, but it's fine now.
It is, generally, entirely safe going to away matches now.

Night matches at Anfield were particularly scary! They were even jumping down from the trees!
