I remember my best friend's dad took the two of us to see Goldeneye. I think it was a 12 and I must have been about 8 or 9, I thought It was the best thing ever
Little did I know I would wait over a decade for another decent bond film.

Ivanhoe at the Tivoli, Colne Road, circa1960 - sadly no longer there. Was about eight years old.
Thought it was the dog's goulies.

That's a good question. Going to the cinema was one of my favourite things to do as a kid and I'd go as often as once or twice a week as a student at uni. Only go once every few months now though.
Anyway, back to the question...I can't be sure but the first film that I have a clear memory of seeing is 101 Dalmations. That came out in 1996 but I'm sure I went to the cinema earlier than that. Dennis the Menace (1993) rings a bell but I can't be sure. I wish my memory was better!

Strange times, late 50s. We use to go and watch the second half of the main film, the 'B' movie, then the first half of the main film. Before a mad dash for the last bus.
The Errol Flynn Robin Hood,1938, is the first memorable one for me. Not positive if it was actually first.
You can't find a film at the cinema over a month old now.

Can remember watching Bedknobs and Broomsticks with my Mum.
First film I went to without a parent was Monty Pythons Holy Grail. Brilliant, due to the small budget instead of using horses they had blokes carrying coconuts. Loved watching python as a kid and still do, just a bigger kid.

Never been a fan of going flicks;only been about 4 times.
Prefer to watch a movie in the comfort of my own home
I do recall the first time I ever went though,It was the early 70's,I would have been around 8/9/10 years old and went to the old Odeon with pals to watch a new James Bond film.
Can't remember if it was Connery or Moore
Never been a Bond fan either.

Summer Holiday at the Grand, Nelson.

The first one I sneaked into a film underage was Kubrick's "A Clockwork Orange" at the Unit Four, Brierfield, I think.

Now I know the bar scene in Star Wars had some strange creatures, but don't remember a cat that could talk to people due to its special collar
Or do I !!!!!

ET at the Unit 4 in Shipley and then The last star fighter at the ABC in Bradford, are the first ones a remember watching at a cinema.
You know you're starting to get a little older when the ABC was demolished years ago to be replaced by an Adams, but they're now in the process of building a cinema on the same spot.

Star wars at an open air cinema on holiday in Turkey, still remember it to this day the opening scene with the star destroyer crawl. Probably is also the reason I have a slight star wars obsession.
