This was the game that convinced me that we aren't going to win away this season.

in a way its quite reassuring that we dont win away. IT would spoil the symetry of our season if we did.

Two very bad teams battling it out today we need to get qaulity in at the end of the season and ship a lot out
We looked jaded and out of ideas in that second half Arfield is shocking at putting dead balls in everyone a wast.
We need to get Defour in and quick

Just think of glory that beckons next year when we do start winning away?

The gap was 8 points 9 games ago! :)

I can't help being a pessimist. Sorry. But at worst case scenario we're 4 points clear.

The bottom 5 are the choice of who will go down.

Hull and boro wont win many. Sunderland already gone 4 me

Deep breaths.
Pour a large G and T.
Pull up a comfy chair.
Relax. Book a holiday.

We're perfectly safe.

What I want is for us to be more points clear than we have games remaining. If we can hit that, then I reckon we'll stay up. Until then, we're still involved.

It's three of six - Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Hull, Swansea, Palace and Bournemouth and has been for a while, was seven but then Leicester sorted their act out.

Burnley are in fairly poor form but it'll take about three teams below us to have completely extraordinary runs to relegate us. One? Probably. Two? Doubt it. Three? Nah mate.

We're on 32 points and that won't keep us up, regardless. I said a few months ago that I reckoned 35 would keep us up (just) and I still reckon that's what we'll need. 3 points from the remaining 9 games.

And we'll never manage that with our current record of over a point per game.

Who on the planet's said 32 points is enough? We'll get more than 32 points. We'll get close to forty. And - I know it's an unorthodox opinion - but I couldn't care less if they come from home games or away games.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...if the bottom 3 continue on the same points trajectory that they have up to this point then we won't need to pick up another point. 1 more win will practically guarantee it.

bad maths site this, getting trounced by spurs , then a surge in fortunes by the lower teams, and with 8 remaining after that could make things difficult.
Forget the magic numbers, we need immediate points ASAP.

8 clear but Boro have two games in hand right now. *Potentially* could be 5 points (Swansea).

We've picked up 3 points in our last 6 games of which 5 have been
away and the one home game was against top of the league so it hasn't been
too bad but not exactly convincing.
We haven't been pasted in any of the last 6 and given a reasonable account of ourselves in most
of those games albeit we haven't really looked as if we could win any of them.

However, 3 points from 18 is relegation form in most people's book.
Our next 6 games aren't exactly easy but I'd like to think we'll be able to manage
at least another 3 points - given 3 of them are at home.

If we don't then we might have to hope that none of the bottom three (probably Hull the most likely
but we can't at present discount Boro') putting together 2 or three wins in their next 6 games
and getting much closer to us. Possibly within 2 or 3 points.

If we're still 4 or 5 points ahead with three games to go then we should make it
with points to spare and most folk will be thinking we're safe.
We'll have 2 of our last three games at home to the Baggies and West Ham.

Most folk think we're safe now and the gap hasn't decreased much, if at all
over the last 6 games but clearly Palace and Swansea have had decent runs
over the last six and got a decent number of points and are out of the bottom 3/4.
Both with new managers. Hull have picked up 7 points in their last 6 games and they've still got West Ham,
Boro, Watford and Sunderland to play at home. They'll have to pick up at least 2, if not 3 wins from those 4
to stand much of a chance. I certainly wouldn't bet a great deal against them not doing that.

So, for me the sooner we get our next win and three points the better.

Apart from the licoln game, we should have been on a high after the last proper match when we drew with Chelsea, only one other team has managed theraat.Instead, we have been floundering around and looking decidedly dull. We lack in every department at the moment, that in itself is worrying. We appear to be no better looking than sunderland, which is poor form indeed.

Thats the disapponting thing. It should have increased having played 3 of the bottom 5 away.

I feel that the Lincoln result definitely impacted our overall form. It was a crazy result which made no sense whatsoever. And I think it knackered us a bit in terms of confidence. I do believe had we won that 1-0 we'd now have more points in the league. But it happens; what can you do.

We still have enough though to get us over the line.

Maybe so, but clubs at the lower end can generally raise their game with relegation looming.

A point a game is a hell of a lot to make up, especially when your form is shite.
I can see us hopefully, finishing where we are now. The performances lately, bar that final pass, have been excellent. Far too good not to be able to pick up at least another 3 wins, even a win away.
It's a tough call for the bottom 3.
Sunderlands football yesterday was shocking. I knew they were bottom of the league but it was easy to see why. They will never get out of it.
Hull's little jump has hit the skids, and they never seem to have any luck to boot.
Boro today is a biggy. United are struggling for strikers, and you don't know how they are going to react to Karwanka going. If Boro lose, it could be their demise as well, they still have a horrible run in.
Swansea should be safe, but their mini jump seems to have come back to earth.
Leicester are still the luckiest team in the league. How often they can get steam roller and still come up with a win is unbelievable.
Palace can still sneak wins against the poorer opposition, but they to have a poor run in.

To summarise: Not only would we have to be **** to go down, which we're not, we would have to be **** and very, very unlucky.

If we go down it will probably be down to NOT strengthening our starting 11 from last years Championship side. Only one change and that was forced - Hendrick for Marney.

Conversely if we stay up, which seems most likely, retaining our core and continuity from last season will be cited, along with Dyche's abilities, as one of the biggest reasons for that success.

We are 19th in the form table.
The recent run of away games hasn't helped.
But if we don't turn our form around it could still be a nervy last day.
Plenty of difficult home games still to come

Spurs, Stoke, Man U, WBA,WHU

If we continue our poor form (3 points in last 6 games) then we will survive comfortably. And when you consider 5 of our last 6 games have been away it's hard to imagine our next 6 games will result in such a small yield.
