Massive Point won today. Many will argue two points dropped but not losing today was so important. Well done Burnley . UTC

Definitely a good result today..What mattered was not letting them get anything out of the game..A job done and another point nearer safety

Feels like a defeat to me well dejected. They were awful and there for the taking. They were clueless at the back.

Decent point I suppose, that second half performance was really disappointing though.

Agreed. Any points we pick up on the road will be huge points, as it's looking unlikely that we'll win any.

A point vs Boro would also be a massive point. So too Palace and Bournemouth. Draws is all we need, just a few more of them.

Very true.

We were always in the game, and but for the referee we could have won that.
We will definitely beat Boro away.

My initial reaction is disappointment but that is largely because we still haven't won away from home this season. If we look at the result in isolation, it's a decent point.

What did the ref do wrong?

decent point. teams facing relegation are quickly running out of games. and all that matters this season is we stay up. i couldn't give a toss where the points come from.

Judging by the 2nd half performance it's a vital point and a sigh of relief.

Getting it out of the way, it's been mainly the refs fault we haven't won away all season.

Although I do think we could have had a pen ( on Vokes ) but need to see it back.

I'm quite content with that point.

Definitely a foul anywhere else on the field.

Gray and Barnes play like two individuals, rather than a partnership.
At this level you should playing your mate in blind.
No complaints from me about Madeley. None of the penalty shouts were pens. He possibly could have booked Jones for his studs up lunge but as he made minimal contact he softed on him.

a point is a point
Defour would have controlled that game especially in the second half, I think this will be one of the only occasions that I will criticize Dyche this season, he bottled it, 2 points dropped against a woeful team.

Let's be realistic, Barnes chance (sitter) came from a mishit Arfield shot, Vokes chance came from a Sunderland mistake
Other than that we created NOTHING against the worst team in the league and our only creative player (You know, the full Belgian International) is on the bench. He should have come on with 20-25 mins to go today

Ended up holding on at Sunderland. No.

Absolutely agree with the OP.

Probably just consigned them to their destiny.

We are steadily getting to our destination too.

Another point in the Prem. I'm happy with that.

Oh right. He seemed to do alright for me but the Sunderland fans kept going mad at him.

The elbow on Mee looked intentional to me though, for the fact he took his arm round further than needed for balance. But you have to be certain to send him off for it.

Every pundit said a point will be great for us but nowhere near good enough for them. 8 points clear with 9 to go I am certainly very happy with that.

8 points clear and much better goal difference with 9 games and 3 bottom teams not even averaging 1 point per game. If you'd told me at the start of the season we'd be in that position I'd have been more than happy.

We've got more home games left than away games for the first time this season. A solid if uninspiring point today.

UTC!

Good point, but more importantly, those were two huge points dropped
by Sunderland.

They won't survive.

Yep. Agree totally a big point today.

I don't think there are any games for the rest of the season where we can draw and have 2 points dropped. Any draw will be massive, including today's.
