The first photos with the characteristic red eye is undoubtedly an adder but the one with the yellow collar I'm pretty sure is a grass snake.

Where are those snakes and terrapins? Round here?

Think theres quite a few snakes on kinder scout and stoodley pike bit never seen any at either.

An excellent thread once again, some great photos which make a different contribution to this message board. I liked them all but the terrapins brought a smile to my face, the snakes were brilliant as was the goosander. You guys have the eye for a photo, the photographic skills to pull it off and are very talented. Keep them coming - I gave up at Kodak Brownie stage in the early 1960s!

Walked upto Hartshead Pike today. Feet have seen better days. Two 10 mile walks back to back haven't done me the world of good.

Once I am fully recovered from the disc surgery I had on Tuesday.

I will be back out and about taking pictures also aiming for at least a couple of games watching The Clarets.

The whole negativity of posters had been getting to me - I know I'm negative on match day threads but we all know that's a pretence.
