I hope he doesn't swap his shirt at the end with no one.

Very proud tonight, to finally see a Burnley player start for England!

Well done Michael, but also I'm sure he will be the first to thank his manager and colleagues.

Really does help us gain some player pulling power does this call up and selection.

Playing in a back three....will no doubt be told that it is in his interest to play for a team which plays that way, so he can be England ready!

Bye Bye Michael.

Congrats though that you have made your England debut whilst still with Burnley.

Have a dilemma now, as I was going to see Scottie take Scotland apart. Phone and TV job now!

Great news, delighted for Michael. Gareth, any chance of Tom coming on to make it two Burnley players on the pitch at the same time?

I never thought I would see a current Burnley player pull on an England shirt - to see it happen twice is amazing!!

Congratulations Keano.

The nicest lad (footballer) I have met and deserves his chance.

Supported by the best Manager in English football - MR Dyche

No, no you didn't.

He got his big shot with us, when Dyche got hold of him and took him with us to the PL.
You lot were a stepping stone on his way to a bigger club

I was actually going to make the wee walk up to Easter Road to see Scotty play whilst wearing my Clarets shirt, but the weather is awful up here and the pull of seeing Keane start for England on TV is to much!

Well done Michael! Well done to our Manager and his staff who have helped him improve in the last two and a half years.

A Burnley player starting for England!

Feel sad for Ben.

Thought he had a more than a decent debut so fully expect him
to become a regular for England.
I think we can ask for at least 2m more for him in the summer
so it's win, win for the club.

Not a bad performance at all, one mistake that should have been punished but otherwise a standard Keane performance.

Congratulations, Michael Keane. A great first cap for England.

If MK needs to play in a back three, I'm sure Ben Mee and James Tarkowski will also be pleased to provide that experience - with Tom Heaton behind them.

I wouldn't mind up trying the 3 at the back system like the one Chelsea use. Mee would make a fantastic wide left defender in a 3.

The problem with Burnley playing a back three is not the three but having the wingbacks capable of the dual role and pace required

Brady would be the ideal left fullback

Not seen enough defensively from Brady yet - obviously people will talk about Tripps on the right who has shown at Spurs that he can play this way to great effect - that ship has gone unfortunately so we have to try others JBG maybe if he can stay fit but from our talent pool would prefer to see him in the forward 3 - could see the approach benefitting Defour though, even as a 10

The funny thing is that a back 3 of Keane Mee and Tarkowski would be really sound, would Lowton and Ward (Brady, if you like) be worth a try in this formation?

Gets a 7 in the player ratings and a nice write up on the bbc football site.
