Love the contrast between the black and white of the rest of the picture and the colour of the kit. Oh and although he was before my time, I've heard he weren't a bad 'un.

What an excellent post and project, brought joy to my heart this morning, 6 of the finest clarets. Illustrates the quality that we have been fortunate enough to see at Turf Moor over the ages.

Ralph Coates

'...he was here, there and everywhere...'

think 'everywhere' has been spelt wrong - it certainly sounded different on the terraces in the 60's! :D

The pictures are wonderful and make walking to the turnstiles an even greater pleasure!

Thanks for the positive comments - have to say, once again, I'm really pleased with them and I've already heard from one of the six players who was delighted to have been chosen.

Well underway with the last phase - no promises yet but would like to see them on the Longside stand by the time of the last game this season against West Ham.

Looking at the picture of 'Dobbo' celebrating a goal got me wondering which one it might have been. It's down at The Bee Hole End and it reminds me of the celebration after he scored our 3rd goal in a 4-1 win over Aston Villa in 1972.

Can I also add my thanks once again to Aaron at Creation Signs who has made and fitted the player boards and Adam from the club's media department for his work on the photographs.

There's 13 to go on the Longside. If you go to link at post 26 the players are listed.

I'm not sure what the long term plans for the Cricket Field are, but wouldn't it be nice on the back of that stand to see a big slogan as all of he away fans are in the Cricket Club bar, with something along the lines of 'Fortress Turf Moor, enemies shall be smote'.

Okay, I haven't given it a lot of thought, but you get my drift. :)

Love the new pics.

There was a suggestion that we didn't use that pic for that reason but it was the occasion of Frank's 100th & final league goal.

It was, in his first game back after the injury at Leeds. That's why I thought it was the most suitable photograph.
