Labour on Europe, has Corbyn the balls

Now is the time for Corbyn to come clean on Europe, what will be the parties negotiating position in negotiations be.
Up until now they've acted as an opposition, Thornbery still hasn't got into her head that they are now setting out an agenda for Government.
In the next couple of days Corbyn has to tell the British public what sort of Brexit deal he is after.

Or of course if he really had courage, when he's going to hold a new referendum on the issue.
New Government new agenda.

The new government would still be governing over the same people that voted brexit.
We're leaving, Get over it.

He plans to give our army potato guns, the navy canoes, and use Argos drones for our Air Force.
He's also gone on record as saying that rich people will be taxed 100% or their earnings and giving it all to the poor, and then the following year doing vice versa. He plans to marry Diane Abbott and declare war on Eton and Henley. Ban five star restaurants, build more manhole cover factories and move the entire population of the Middle East to Milton Keynes. He said his long term plans were to invade his next door neighbour's allotment and build a little village for the little people who speak to him from his kitchen cupboards at night. However. His first plan is to make Josef Stalin his deputy and has said that he'll make Joey Essex his Education Secretary.

I reckon Joey can't do that bad a job to be honest.

He's at least likeable, which would be a first

Particularly enjoyed dawn butler not taking questions from men in Jeremy Corbyn's press conference. This identity politic's trend on the left is one of the biggest reasons I'll never vote labour again in my life.

I logged in to "like" ThinLizzy's post. I've voted Labour in most elections since 1971 (never Tory) and been a party member for a few years in all on&off. That post sums up, humorously, why I won't vote Labour this time.
The man has some good socialist ideas but just goes too far and has no sense of pragmatism at all.

His plan after winning the election is to immediately announce a referendum on independence for Islington. Using the Barnett formula he will announce huge subsidies for companies that produce quinoa, sundried tomatoes, humus and couscous.
School hours will be changed to accommodate compulsory Saturday night supper party planning as part of the national curriculum.

Cheers for that. Did you read the Mirror article? I think it was Wakefield. A staunch Labour hotbed and the journalist couldn't find anyone who would vote Labour. Sorry haven't got the link at hand.

Genius ThinLizzy and Chobulous.

I realise we all take politics too seriously. Good to see the funny side of what we are being asked to vote for.

You might have thought that Dawn would have let this one drop - given that a woman is PM and leader of the Conservative party.

Good points, ablue. Yes. I'd forgotten the idea of an election is to put forward a manifesto that you will (try to) deliver when you are in government.

Poor Ms Thornbery is still in shock from having been to places where "white van man" lives - Kent.

Is that legit? Like announced "no questions from men"?

I'll vote Labour but I've absolutely no time for that sh*te, it's embarrassing.

Sadly a diffident statement, do they have no one in charge of policy.

Corbyn take on the establishment he's frightened of making a principled stance on anything.

He'll enjoy going around the country building up his following for the next Labour leadership election, presses all the right buttons for the members but just doesn't do detail or joined up thinking,

It was on sky news this morning, I'm sure there's a link out there somewhere. She didn't flat out refuse to take questions from men, just said she was trying to avoid taking questions from men and kept looking for women instead, she was very vocal in her discrimination and the press seemed to dare not press her on it. Can't imagine they would have been quite so reserved if it was a male trying to avoid taking questions from women, but there you go, that's the modern left for you.

They probably wouldn't have noticed. That's the point.

It is quite interesting the 'lack of' Labour support. Is that Corbyn? Or just general apathy?!
I'd suggest a mixture. Iam pretty apathetic about it. Three bloody elections in three years now!

They wouldn't have noticed? If a male MP did as she did, and told the entire room that he was actively avoiding asking women questions in favour of other men, you think they wouldn't have noticed? It would be a front page scandal.

What is outrageous to me is the fact that she felt she could do that sort of thing without fear of recrimination. This whole "we need to give women a greater voice" thing is getting out of hand. I truly believe in an equal opportunity for all and merit should be the deciding factor in all appointments regardless of race, gender, sexuality, who has the nicest pet or whatever, but having said that I have yet to meet a woman who was relunctant to use her voice

The answer is no, frightened of the Daily Mail, so much for taking on the Establishment.
Calamity Corbyn I'm afraid.

I find politics genuinely interesting and absolutely embrace polling days. People around the world have died for the right to vote and a lot of people still can't. Ballot box, postal or proxy; spoilt for choice and love it.

Love it so much I even paid £3 and voted for Corbyn a couple of years ago.

Well, she was right not to worry about it. Nobody has even mentioned it bar a few disgruntled twitter users.

Can we have elections more often?

Since this one's been announced abc hasn't regurgitated his normal football thread once.
