Atmosphere tomorrow

No doubt there is some added pressure going into tomorrow but this is the kind of occasion we spent last season building for. United at home on the worst 22 game unbeaten run of all time, would be fitting to end it before they get to the 23.

Hoping it won't be a cagey atmosphere as has been seen some times this season and the CFS and the rest of the ground can raise the roof. As much so we don't have to listen to that 'something tells me I'm into something good' song for 90 minutes :D

should be awesome, Utd fans sing alot away from home. It would be hilarious to be 2-0 up in the 93rd minute of 93 minutes and all the Clarets singing the "23 undefeated" song

Get ya self into the CFS and make a difference then.

Utd fans are proper loud away from home. And they don't shut up for the 90 minutes.

It will be hard for the lads on the pitch, and it will be hard for us in the stands.

Should be a good atmosphere as the JHL and upper tend to add to the CF singing on the bigger matches.Though the CFS does seem to quiten down pretty quickly after the Group jerk off during the Defour song

Robbie Blake certainly found a way to shut them up in 2009.

Now THAT was an atmosphere! The whole of the Longside shook !

It's only fair the cricketfield lads take a bit of stick now and again as we certainly give it out to the rest of the ground for being silent. Even if it is utter pish.

CFS create a fantastic atmosphere especially when we occasionally play with flair and some sustained pressure.

Don't like to criticise our fans but thought that the atmosphere from our fans in the CFS was as poor as I've ever seen/heard it.

You can criticise the fans but cant criticise the abysmal performance from the players ?

Atmosphere was a shocker. We need to raise the roof for the remaining two home games, like our lives depend on it. The team need every little boost they can get to see us over the line. Lets all get behind the team and stick together.

This thread is about the atmosphere not the players.

Poor from Burnley fans no doubt. Many reasons with one being the football. Utd didn't stop singing but the cricketfield usually tries to break the away fans rhythm- didn't happen.

Utd have a very rich history but some of the player songs are embarrassing. Think a nunber of our fans like listening to likes of Spurs/utd go through their repertoire of tunes "ohh this is good one...they'll come back with this now"

I thought it was good until they scored then very flat. Tends to happen when you go 2 down unfortunately.

Doesn't help that United were winning most of the game and as much as hate them they have the best away fans in the league by some distance. Not sure why they were singing about Andy Cole and Solksjaer mind.

Second half started and we gave it we are the longside Burnley for 5 or 6 mins but none of it fed Into a better performance unfortunately.

Our song list is poor. It's embarrassing.

And they were probably singing about Andy Cole due to his recent kidney transplant?

Unsure about Solkjaer though.

They've always continued to sing songs about former players, long after they have left.

Wasn't aware of that, thanks. Seemed to be singing songs about loads of ex players which was strange.

Our song list is no better or worse than your average team, but Uniteds is huge.

Spot on.

And singing Ronaldo songs and especially Ronaldo makes England look shite was embarrasing.

But Burnley fans were poor yesterday. Nobody made any effort. Weird atmosphere.

It was a wierd atmosphere yesterday - then again, the 'early' Sunday kick off sometimes does this.

As for United - it's to be hoped they sing at away games, cos they sure do not sing at home, even in 'big' games, Old Trafford can be like a library sometimes.

And yes they do have a big repertoire of songs, often about past players, but these players were amongst Europe's best and remembered for a time when United won everything in sight. Not exactly like us singing about being in the old 3rd Division with Liam Robinson up front.

Dont they have a supporters group that 'think up' new songs and then give out song sheets at away games (might be wrong with that, mind) ?
