This player was mentioned in Joey Bartons book if memory serves me right. The thought popped in my head at the time as I recalled something from years ago, the question is is he Graham Branchs brother? Both from Liverpool of similar age and when I looked for a pic it came up with an article. In one of the pics he has a blue shirt on and looks an absolute spit. Fifth pic down in the article

yep it was his cousin .... just found this write up where in says Michaels cousin graham did most of the damage with a hat trick when there reserves played tranmere.
