I'd actually fancy is to win all 3 after today - pressure is almost off, after Swansea get their arses handed to them tomorrow we can all relax a little

I hope Bournmouth and WBA are on the beach and/or managers decide the play some experimental line ups with the season all but wrapped up with mid table finishes.

Looking at the league table amazing to see we are in with eight teams and just 3 points separating them.
3 winnable games to come
Have said before take away the top 6 plus Everton who are on a different level and little old Burnley could finish EIGHT.
Would be like winning the title

Hi LCP, why have you picked out those teams? Don't you think we should be looking at the fixtures our the 5 teams on 40 and 41 points?

Wba have struggled last few games, but have a tendency to batter us I believe, so write that off.
West Ham - manager is possibly on the ropes over his job, again they have been known to beat us but I reckon a draw.
Bournemouth - playing well, we're away but now we've finally got our first away win I think a draw.

Nobody has put the fixtures of the relevant sides around us, but I would guess 10th. Seven points leaving us on 46.

I think we could realistically get 4 points from the 3 games; finish 13th/14th. At £2 million per each extra place up the league, plenty to play for in addition to mere survival.
See how it all looks after Swansea & Watford games in this round. In the meantime, we can sleep more easily that fans of Boro, Swansea, Hull, Palace and Hammers.

Do you think there is a likely chance the teams on 40 and 41 points are going through be relegated?

We're undefeated in the last 3 games of all of the previous four seasons when SD has been in charge. Whatever our circumstances/position we don't coast over the line. Two of the teams we have left have nothing to play for, by the time of the West Ham game they should be ok too.
Think we'll pick up points from all remaining games - especially as we're going to be seeing players like Tarkowski and Westwood who are fresh and on yesterday's showing have fitted seamlessly into the framework.

I don't know how our bonuses work exactly, but if they don't already reward a top 10 Premier League finish, i'd be offering an extra inventive to do so, because amazingly its very achieveable.

From West Brom down this is how I see the final table
WBA 48 pts
Saints 44 pts (edit - missed off their game at home to Stoke which I think they'll win) - 47 pts
Lei 46 pts
B'mt 45 pts
BURNLEY 42 pts (3 draws)
Palace 41 pts
Stoke 40 pts
West Ham 40 pts
Watford 40 pts
Hull 37 pts
Swansea 34 pts
Boro 27 pts
Sun 21 pts

I think we'll draw against West Brom and Bournemouth before beating West Ham on the final day, leaving us with a total of 44 points. Not bad!

The Bournemouth game suddenly looks winnable. I don't want to get carried away by one very good away performance but if our players can hit that level again then we are capable. I'd expect 4 points from the 2 home games so I'd guess we will pick up between 4 and 7 points between now and the end of the season.

An eight point gap is naff all. And Swansea have a game in hand so they could cancel out our better goal difference

Would be nice for SD to carry on with the second half of the season better than the first but that would need winning our last three as we had 23 from 19 and currently 16 from 16.
Would like us to be mathematically safe ASAP and next Saturday at home would be nice if we can do that

Would be glad of a point at bournemouth, they are very good going forward.

Similar to Palace in that respect, great going forward but defensively very suspect.

Of course, not. Neither is Burnley. I'm looking up to see how high we can finish.

Not getting carried away but I believe we could win all three especially with our fitness levels and fresh blood with the likes of Westwood and Tarks
West Brom going through a bad patch and nothing to play for. Our team will be up for it after Palace so a win is more than possible. 2-1 with late WBA consolation goal.
Same as the Palace game with Bournemouth's dodgy defence. I think our defence can nullify their strikers and we could sneak a 1-0 win.
After 3 wins in a row the Turf will be busy and the team on a high. West Ham will be safe and nothing to play. I doubt they'll be able to raise their game to match ours on the day so a comfortable 2-0 win.

Good point Paul. When I started this thread I was looking at who was facing relegation. After yesterday's win, it's more how high can we finish.
Between 10-14th will be a sensational achievement! A second year beyond most fans dreams.

i think we'll beat west brom next week, so thats three more, not confident about Bournemouth away, but west ham will be very winable. 6in total taking us to 45 total.

West Brom have failed to score in their last 5 games after beating Arsenal 3-1.
They have only kept 3 clean sheets this season and have failed to score in 14 games, surely we must fancy a win for us next week.

Prior to the Palace game nobody knew where our next point was coming from.
Now we'll finish the season winning the last four.
I think we're capable of winning a couple and throwing a bad one in for balance. Anything could happen at Bournemouth with the pressure off.

As boiledclaret said there were very few who gave us much of
a chance of getting 3 points at Palace, myself amongst them.
So one could easily surmise that anything is possible in our last three games.
We might win all three and shoot up the table as a result possibly ending up as high as 8th!
I don't think we'll lose all three so suspect we may end up with a win, a draw and a defeat.
4 points with a total of 43 and say around 11th or 12th.
That will more than do me.
Just wish I had some money at the beginning of the season on Burnley finishing above 40 points and just below mid table.
Probably got pretty good odds.
