Old age is telling on me now . Tomorrow I shall be 78 .I have always remained attached to Burnley and Burnley alone . Many Mauritian football fans know how much I am concerned by Burnley .
i would wish to have a gift from my beloved club . A win against WBA on Saturday .Will it be possible ? I hope yes .

I was born in a village called Belvedere . I think that there is a town called Belvedere near Burnley . Rose Hill is an important town in Mauritius . i have read that you have Rose Hill as well .

I wish to thank you all for wishing me well on my birthday . although may not know me personally ,i feel that i am attached to you all .I love the town of Burnley and its people . i do remember the Lord Mayor gave me a civic reception . I was accompanied by Frank Teasdale ,a very good friend of mine whom I miss .

Belvedere Road is adjacent to the ground. Quite a few posters come from the Rosehill area (including ClaretTony I think?) and many of us including me went to Rosehill School. Jimmy Mac lived and maybe still lives on Rosehill Avenue.

Always wondered why you followed Burnley, those are 2 great reasons.

I have to clear once for all re my given name DAVEMANU . At home everybody calls me Dave . Manu is not Manchester United at all . Manu is a deity in the Hindu mythology .sO i PUT MY NAME dAVEMANU2000.
THE REASONS WHY i LOVE BURNLEY IS THAT IT WAS THE FIRST ENGLISH CLUB WHICH HAD PLAYED A FOOTBALL MATCH ON OUR SOIL . THEY PLAYED SIX MATCHES AND WON ALL . THEY SCORED 36 GOALS AGAINST TWO .At a certain time Burnley was the most popular here . My father and uncles were all Burnley fans . They came in 1954 and since then I am a Burnley fan .They played one more match against Madagascar . They beat them by 13-2 .
burnley pioneered English football in the islands of the Indian ocean .
Among the players who played in Mauritius were : Cummings,Shannon ,Mac Donald , Mac Ilroy ,Holden , >These are some names I still remember .
