If we mathmatically stay up tomorrow will there be another pitch invasion on the Turf ?

For me staying up in the richest league in the world is a bigger achievment than getting here as proved by our other 2 seasons when we went straight back down.

Nobody give us a chance but we look to have don it.

No, we want the players to stay focused for the last 2 games, not think it's all over.
However after West Ham we can party likes it's 1973.

It's a strange one because I'm usually all in favour of a good old celebratory pitch invasion, but I don't think that we should this time.

Avoiding relegation pitch invasions are usually done because it's been a last match great escape type thing, but we've hardly looked in that much trouble this season.

Maybe save it for West Ham.

But we've been relegated twice in 7 years from this very division.

It's not small time to be heard chanting about how we've (nearly) achieved something that we haven't previously in the modern era.

Did we do a pitch invasion when we stayed up in our debut season in the Championship after all those years? I'm genuinely asking.

And if so, when did we stop doing it? And if we didn't, why not?

I don't mind celebrating it, I enjoyed our win against Palace and the fact that it has practically secured our place in the PL for another season as much as anyone. I just find that chant pretty lame, personal preference.

We are not tin pot and I do t that no anyone on here thinks that we are a big club. We are a small town club that's perhaps punching above its weight but we have earned the right to be where we are and almost earned the right to be there again next season.

Celebrate, be happy etc. etc. but don't make us look like a genuine tin pot club by celebrating as though we've reached the Johnston Paint Final.

I can't recall the last time the fans of the bigger clubs put down their prawn sarnies.

I did notice that, even though Newcastle won promotion their fans stayed put.

I usually enjoy the half time entertainment but it has become a little tiresome. You should float this idea in front of the powers that be.

On the flip side it could show how passionate we are and how much success meams. Because lets face it staying up i s a huge success relatively speaking. In 2 to 3 years hopefully its not. Its expected. But now it is.

That said, and as someone who doesnt mind a pitch invasion it doesnt feel right this week.

Last minute escape maybe. But theres 2 more games to go. No doubt will be one against whu.

One thing we don't want to do is copy how the big clubs fans behave, more atmosphere in the snooker final last week.

I'd be embarrassed for any fans who ran onto the pitch today.

But I guess it depends on how many VKs they've had.

To the above ideas, I suggest that nobody should be allowed to enter the pitch until the golden oldies in the Bob Lord have clambered over the wall, onto the pitch and then had their chance to masturbate. Then other stands spectators would've got fed up of waiting for it to happen and just go home.

A pitch invasion for avoiding relegation? How about an open-top bus ride through the streets as well?

I can understand the taking to the pitch after last game escapes such as Orient and Plymouth Argyle, but unless Swansea win their games and we need something from the West Ham game, then its a big fat 'No' from me.

Lets not, we may be a small club, but we are bigger than that, I'm sure.

WOW..Just wow....

Staying in the Prem is a massive achievement. But it's not a "great escape". We haven't been in the bottom three since the first week of the season. We've been 'safe' for months.

Keep the pitch invasions for special moments - the last minute great escapes and the title clinching goals.

Although to be fair, there'll be far less justified pitch invasions all over the country this weekend so whatever, crack on.
