I doubted Dyche'd style of play. Nothing has changed and nothing will change until I see a vast improvement in the football. Result however can never be doubted.

There's a team down the rd that got rid of their manager, because a section of their fans didn't like his style of play.
That team is now looking league one in the face.

He's done amazingly well, as he has since he arrived. We could have spiraled down after Laws, but we didn't, and it's down to him. But that doesn't mean we can't discuss aspects of him and the fallibilities he has and can improve.

I logged on to open this as a topic, but can comment here. He continues to react to a game, not affect it.

Two very similar sides out there today. Two additional variables. We had a new centerback pairing, they were low on confidence, not having scored for an age. We were clearly the most creative, the most in control of the game, and we carved out a goal.

Dyche, at exactly that moment should have had two thoughts. One, was it's a Tony Pulis side, they're going to react. Two, what can I do to change the dynamic to give him and his team something to think about. It could have been Brady, at could have been Gudjohnsson, it could have been Gray...... but he did nothing.

Are his assistants not encouraged to be free thinkers and put these notions in his head? Because he often struggles the game management aspect of affecting outcomes.

To the credit of the team, they came back, but a smart tactician might have achieved an even better result. We will never know.

Credit to the man though for amazing achievements

I've never openly doubted Dyche as his results speak for themselves. That said, I strongly doubt that he is the right manager to take us to the next stage. Only time will tell.

As a side note, it's my opinion that he will get his move to a 'big club' in the near future and unless he chooses very carefully which club he goes to, I can't see him making a success of it.

If as your post suggests he had changed a team that was playing well and taken the lead, can you imagine the reaction on here if then WBA had scored and even gone on to win.

Maybe, but we're fans, we don't get to pick the team, nor run the game. Again, full congratulations to him, but it IS an area of fallibility. If he had that about him though he wouldn't be here, he'd be with a top 6.

He'll be considering how he can improve the team. I'm sure, given what we know of his character, he'll be looking to improve himself in this area - he even said of Pulis "he affected the game" - so he recognized it in others.

For all of those who want change of style or heaven forbids a change of manager, we have a system that works. The summer will bring changes as we look to progress. Who on earth could have done a better job than Sean Dyche. Perhaps we need to offer a job to Wenger or Pep!

Dyche is a great Manager . He did pretty well . With a small budget and the smallest number of fans attending home matches ,he picked the best affordable players from lower divisions and rejects from PL clubs ,he worked out marvel . After more than four decades that Burnley could afford to have two English internationals and some other international players for other countries . Burnley are no more under the pain of huge debts as some in the PL. We thank Sean ,the James Bond of Pl ,for his valuable contributions in the shaping of a better forceful Burnley .

I'm guessing you don't watch much football.

We have fewer fans than Bournemouth, do we?

For those of you looking for #3 in my thread of "spot the poster" you should have some good clues a tad above this post

the real problem with this post is that it's all down to interpretation and peoples opinions in nit picking, I don't like because he leaves his sub's to late, and the favorite he does not play Defour and he's the best player ever

Forget whether you like him or not, he has either done a good/great/exceptional job or he has not, given the results (whether pretty or not) I am certain anyone (other than Saxo of course) would deny that statement and make him out to be less than good.

For those whom the original post is aimed at, I would like you to answer in terms of giving just one name of a manager that you think would have better over the last 3 seasons for BFC taking in to account 2 promotions and one straight after a relegation with the cherry on top of retaining our PL status. Just one mind, and they need to be someone who would credibly accepted the job and stayed in the role up until June this year, and if not, just don't bother saying anything there a good chap :)

Negativity should have been banned from this site at least for 24 hours, but then of course yes everyone is allowed there own opinion, no matter how asinine it is and I will be one to stick up for it and help you promote how silly you can be because you do have that right no matter what anyone else says.

How can anyone complain at what Sean has achieved? I really hope that he doesn't cast his eyes over some of the shite posted on here. He is by far the best thing to happen to BFC in 40 years. Who on earth is going to replace him and have half of his success. I dread the day he leaves.

I'm not sure that any fans doubt Dyche - how can you when firstly against the odds he steers the team to promotion and then engineers an immediate return to the Prem? And when it has been looking very likely that we were to stay up this season for quite some time?

There is no doubt that SD has achieved great things for Burnley.

However some fans get frustrated by his brand of football, I know I do at times. Personally I have found it very frustrating that he hasn't played Defour more than he has, that he continues to play his favoured team (players) leaving better players on the bench - I thought the finishing 11 yesterday was a better 11 than the starting and that he is often slow to react when tactical substitutions are been cried out for.

But you can't question the huge success he has brought to the club.

You get us critics wrong we don't doubt that SD is a good manager just that he could be better if he developed the framework.

There's absolutely know misjudgement about the very small handful of posters who criticise Dyche relentlessly. It beggers belief that they want Dyche sacked. He's been a total revelation in his time here - both on and off the pitch - and long may it continue. Will go down as one of Burnley's best ever managers that along with the Board have transformed the club which is now unrecognisable from where it was. I would triple his wage tomorrow if it locked him in longer.

To be taken seriously as a critic, attendance at the games is essential.
You my friend pick the bones out of the various media outlets, and try to form a valid opinion based on other peoples match reports.
So you see your views concerning BFC are a plagiarized opinion. :D

See if you were the one of the most positive posters on the board pussy... you might just might have a point. But when we do a message analysis we can clearly say you are from the bright shining beacon of positivity. Lets bring out the evidence:

All recent posts by pushpinpussy:
Re: Aaron Lennon
although i have symapthy with all of you who have depression i now know why this message board is usually dull and boring.
Re: Four-year-old girl found walking Staffordshire bull terrier alone
An imaginary deity won't help them either. Don't make this personal though, nothing wrong with how my kids are raised unless you want to claim otherwise and make yourself look a bit of a dick in the process. bloody hell. youre sense of humour as quicky disappeared. you have a SOPO written all over ...
Re: Dyche
Do people still listen to the OP. He's the biggest clown going. Usually don't open his posts anymore as he has spoils this site for me with his constant negativity. He's boring and if the moderators are not careful he's going to drive a lot of people away. He only likes to argue his negative points ...
Re: Leicester fans
I don't like this cheep beer one bit.
Re: Will we have a new manager next season?
is Brian Laws still available

I mean I could go on.... but you get my drift. Pussy not the most positive poster himself in the world, it could be argued his posts are indeed a little bit bitchy... but id never say that.

Indeed i'm not pretending to be mr positive and do we really want to read a message board where 20 different people tell us how happy they are, how interesting would that be really? people's criticisms, negativity, whatever you want to call it is what creates debate, is what keeps any message board alive. I mean we wouldn't have such informative threads as this by the OP if everyone was happy, now that would be a shame.

I think I am one of thousands upon thousands of Clarets who in October 2012 thought " Sean who?'
Brendan Flood, just after Sean's appointment told me in the Clarets Lounge that Sean was the most positive of those interviewed with Sean saying he didn't see any reason why Burnley could not get back into the Premier League.
At that point we smiled and parted and the bubble from me was proclaiming "Dream on".

Dear Sir, Mr Dyche please accept my apols for ever doubting your word as you developed the team and club to become, whatever may happen in the future, the best manager in our history.

It seems to me the arguments some Burnley fans have against Dyche is his style of play, tactical flexibility and timing of subs.

As far as style of play goes, no-one has convinced that some other way with the players we have (or can get) would have achieved the same success.

Tactical flexibility and timing of subs is more difficult and obviously it's hard to know when to 'stick or twist' at any moment in game. That may be something he is learning - don't forget he has only five years experience of managing and is pitting his wits against the likes of Pullis and Allardyce (both around 25 years).

I don't say he is beyond criticism but at the end of the day he has succeeded magnificently for our club and therefore any complaints about his ways are insignificant.

I call on all Burnley fans just to enjoy the moment.
