On their correct sides of the pitch, much, much much better.

At long last, unfortunately too late for a top ten finish.

Yes. We all know that Diesel knows better than Dyche.

I'm sure they'll be in the starting 11 for the next few seasons, regardless who we sign

I somehow doubt it.

Both played well especially Boyd who always seems to in last few games.

Essentials to keep our shape.

Sorry but Arfield was terrible. His corners are shocking. Looks short on confidence in front of goal. Offers nothing going forward. I love the guy and he has been a massive part of our team and what we are but sadly he no longer is good enough for us. This isnt his fault it is just we are progressing. Sad that players who have helped us so much are no longer good enough. But shocking that he is keeping Brady or Gudmundsson out of the side.

Boyd was fantastic and in part I put this down to Westwoods performance. Constantly ĺooking to play it out wide to feet rather than punting it 15 yards in front of him to try to chase, beat a man, control it and put in a cross like we had with Barton.

So Barton doesn't become a better player when he isn't playing, unlike the rest of our squad? ;)

Not for me. The ban he got was a blessing in disguise for me. Westwood has shown more in 2 games than Joey did in last 10. Again I hate saying this like with Arfield but we are better than these players now. I know it can soon blow up in our faces but we need to carry on evolving like we are. Slowly but surely.

The midfield pairing of Westwood and Hendrick has really impressed me so far. Both capable of taking that extra touch and letting wingers full backs gain them extra few yards by retaining the ball

Arguably the biggest problem with Arfield and Noyd playing is that nobody can take a set-piece

In isolation Scott offers little, but as part of the team effort he's a star in my eyes. As a free transfer to have 2 promotions to the PL on his CV, has to mean something.

Very sad, but we have progressed beyond Arfield. Thank him for what he has done, help him to get a good deal elsewhere. Never forget!

Arfield was definately not terrible and his corners weren't that bad at all today compared to normal. In fact I can only remember one bad one. Sometimes people see what they want to see.

Having said that he seems to have lost his shooting boots.

It does for me and will always be a legend in my eyes. But to believe he is good enough to help us make the next step I feel is foolish. Believe in summer he will move on to a championship club like Jones did for decent money

You believe?

You also believed that Defour would be off last January. :)

I think people would have been a lot harsher on him today if we hadn't secured safety. Like you say compared to normal, his corners today still weren't good enough

Better maybe.

But it remains that neither can take set pieces, both are slow, and relatively uncreative. Two championship players playing at the very limits of their ability.

Arfield was excellent last week and very good this week. He did make a hash of one corner and we were out under pressure because of it and that happens too often and is frankly criminal, but it's not just his corners to be fair.

Well from his game time since January I am proven correct that he doesn't want to be here and Dyche doesn't want him here. Obviously couldn't offload him.

I rather think you're just guessing... just like you were in January.

If you were there today, did you have one of those seats facing away from the pitch? Arfield had a decent game. And his corners included two which were inch perfect for Tarkowski and should have resulted in a headed goal and a penalty for handball, plus another from which i think Long headed wide. Thats an excellent return.

Thought Boyds got better and stronger in the 2nd half of the season and had a really good game today (his fitness will help) and Arfield had his best game in ages last week and was good again today, real competition in Brady is pushing him on.

But with safety assured (pretty much!) and an eye to next year. Both should become squad players at best. No slight on their efforts at all.
