St Venky's Day

For around 15yrs, Arsenal fans have used the name 'St Totteringham's Day' to commemorate the day on which their superior league position over Spurs is confirmed.

I don't normally bait other supporters, but I did go to school in Blackburn during the 90's so I'm prepared to make an exception, and I'm sure they'd be disappointed if the banter wasn't returned. ;)

I'd like to propose ''St Venky's Day", the day of each season if/when our higher league finish over Blackburn is confirmed.

Given the potential differences in respective leagues, we may need varying criteria for determining the day, but it could look something like this;

whichever comes first...
- Our confirmed higher league position, if in the same division
- Our confirmed safety in a higher division
- Our confirmed promotion to a division above Blackburn
- Blackburn's confirmed relegation to a league below us

What do we think?

I'm on board. Maybe the inaugural St Venky's Day was yesterday although it'd perhaps be nicer if it was today.

I think if the best we can do is steal ideas from Arsenal fans we shouldn't bother.

Also, St Venky's Day suggests we're only in a higher position because of them when we should all really know that it is just the status quo.

St. Anthony- lost things
St Bernadette- lost souls
St Francis- lost animals

St Venky- lost final days of the season
