The person who wrote this article seems to think the Venkys are considering it.

I believe PNE might be interested. They were outbid by Wigan for Bolton's Training Ground last year. If they are still in the market for one, Brockhall(just down the A59 from them) would be handy. They could even hire use of it back to Bl*ckburn.

It's absolute prime real estate. Top notch RIbble Valley location.
Problem might be planning permission, of course, but flogging it for housing
would presumably bring much more in than selling it on as a training ground.
However, there's always been rumours about a covenant preventing this.
But surely a clever team of briefs could get round it.
Or maybe build a palace on it In honour of Mrs. Desai.
Somewhere to store her shoes.

I believe the one glaring omission from the fabulous redevelopment at Gawthorpe was the lack of storage barns for our " dry powder " !!
Perhaps we buy Brockhall, and store it all there !!!

I've heard Hemmings is trying to turn Ingol golf course into PNEs new training complex so don't think they would buy it

If work hasn't started on that, and Brockhall came onto the market, I'm sure he'd consider a ready-made alternative to all the faff surrounding planning and excecuting a new one.

Hemmings owns the land but hasn't been able to get permission to build houses in Ingol yet.
The training ground where the building looks exactly like our new Training Facility is his way of getting to build the houses

Do Venky's have a chicken processing plant in the UK,? I can see their cunning plan coming together now.

I was told by a rovers fan that Venkys don't own Brockhall, and that the Walkers own it.

Never trust a word of the enemy. Why would the walkers retain a training facility without a football club? Other than Jack, none of the Walkers give a monkeys splash about them..... sell sell sell!!!

That has been said on here before and a massive area of the Ribble Valley has to have some intrinsic value. Certainly more than a supermarket size plot on Bolton Rd!

R
Wasn't it confirmed that the training complex is owned by BRFC. With Venkys being 99% shareholders, they can do what they like with it, PP permitting.

There are few certainties in football --(C) Sean Dyche-- but one thing we can be sure of is this:
Rovers are staring into one of the biggest financial black holes in football. If not THE BIGGEST financial black hole in football.
Things like selling training grounds will be very much on the cards.

What they're hoping is Venkys clear the debt like Eddie Davies did at Bolton.
What they're ignoring is the fact Bolton were still knackered after the debt was cleared and aren't much better off now.

Exactly right Rowls If it came to a choice of the club going under or selling the training ground there would be a large For Sale sign on Brockhall no matter what they say can or can't be done with it.

Eddie Davies is very, very rich and can afford to do this.
The Venkys are very, very rich and can afford to do this.
Eddie Davies did it because he is a life long Bolton fan.
The Venkys are a family of Indian chicken farmers.

Yep, no point having a training ground hanging around if there's no club.

The only way out of this for Rovers is that the Venkys continue to prop them up, but there is no doubt that the transfer policy over the last two years has been to make sure Rovers pay as much of the debt as possible.
I'm guessing that if Venkys get told the costs v income for next season, they will sell. Its just whether they want to be paid for the club, as I cannot see them giving it away.

So if it goes will they be back to traelling around Darwen schools again?
Or have all their playing fields been sold off too?

Does Coyle still live down the road from Brockhall?
They must be tenuous neighbours, to say the least, if so.
