That game..30 years on

As someone who attended the game 30 years ago (all be it wanting a slightly different outcome..) I can only admire what Burnley have done over the last few years - I always look out around this time of year to read about the raw emotion that came out that day. If only we had had the opportunity to win a game to stay up this season.. unfortunately the not so mighty O's will be at Gateshead and AFC Fylde next season due to spectacular mis management by an Italian waste management billionaire..all power to you all and the club ( love Mr Dyche by the way) all I ask is in your quieter moments is spare me a thought and look out for the Leyton Orient scores..and please do the double over West Ham
.

Always had a soft spot for Orient since that game. Wish you all the best for the future.

Used to go and watch them occasionally when I lived in Middlesex in the 1960s and 70s ....long before the infamous game.
Really sorry that they have been well and truly screwed and wish them well for the future.

I lived in London 1970-73 and had some work experience in Homerton E10 in early 1972. Brisbane Rd. was very close by but it seemed at the time that the only team in existence around the area was Arsenal. Genuinely hope your club can be back in the Football League this time next year.
