AFC Bournemouth
Stadium: The Vitality Stadium
Capacity: 11,464
Address: Dean Court, Kings Park, Bournemouth, BH7 7AF
Telephone: 0844 576 1910
Website: http://www.afcb.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Getting there:

By Car:

Post Code for SAT NAV: BH7 7AF

Follow the A338 towards Bournemouth. The ground is situated on the left of the A338 in the outskirts of town. You should be able to spot the tops of the ground floodlights on the left. Otherwise leave the A338 via the slip road which is signposted Kings Park/Football traffic. You will then reach a small roundabout at which you take the second exit into Kings Park Drive. The entrance to the stadium and car park are down this road on the left. The car park at the ground is of a good size.

Parking:

Those travelling by coach will arrive in the car park behind the Ted MacDougall South Stand. Congestion can cause delays when leaving the ground after the game.
Free matchday parking is available at Harewood College, which is only a 10 minute walk across the park to Vitality Stadium. This parking facility has the advantage of being away from the congestion around Kings Park, and will be manned by a steward until kick-off. The postcode for Harewood
College is BH7 6NZ.
Parking is also available to the south of the ground for just £1 for the duration of the match. When driving to the ground, follow the brown road signs with a football logo to get to Vitality Stadium. Please note, some of the signs may refer to the ground as Dean Court. Supporters are advised to travel in plenty of time for the game. The fee is payable on entrance to the car park upon production of a valid match ticket. Supporters wishing to park at the ground are advised to arrive early as the car park usually reaches capacity around 75 minutes before kick-off. Supporters may experience delays in leaving the car park after the final whistle. Please be aware, there is a left turn at the exit of the south end of the car park, which will bring you out on to Gloucester Road in Boscombe.
Alternatively, the Sovereign Shopping Centre on Christchurch Road, which is approximately a 15 minute walk from the ground, offers low cost easy parking (£2 for 4 hours), with 600 spaces. This parking facility has the advantage of being away from the congestion and has cafés for food and snacks.

By Train:
The nearest train station to the stadium is Pokesdown, which is roughly a mile from the and around a 15 minute walk away.

We've hired a boat from Blackpool. Should be a decent trip.

Where we're going, we don't need roads!

If your wanting pubs closeby ,Boscombe is nearest area, not sadly the nicest part of Bournemouth mind... Away fans tend to use Percy Shelly https://www.jdwetherspoon.com/pubs/all- ... y-boscombe" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Don't take it personally but I see it closes down the next day ;)
Best pub for ales food ect in Boscombe is .. Chaplins. http://www.chaplins-bar.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Boscombe will take 15 min walk, they do have an outside bar at Dean Court by the Clubshop / Steve Flecter stand I make the assumption they will serve away fans but not 100% sure , if thinking of a pint here might be worth calling the club to check first 0344 576 1910

For the real ale drinkers:

Nearest to Bournemouth station:
Cricketers Arms (BH1 4RN)
Firkin Shed (BH8 8BZ)

Nearest to Pokesdown station:
Chaplins (BH1 4AG)
Percy Florence JDW (BH7 6AA)
Wight Bear (BH6 3QU)

Taking in both stations and the ground, it's a walk of 5.5 miles so that's the weekend exercise sorted ;-)

What's the score with colours in Bournemouth? Some good looking pubs on the list by 1882, but not if they don't let Claret colours in.

Don't think there will be any issues with colours.

Don't think Bournemouth have a "firm" as such. :D it's not exactly the Isle of Dogs.

Unless a couple of blue-rinse grannies sally forth from the Millpond Tea Rooms......

My many hours of viewing quiz shows have revealed a distinct lack of geographical awareness amongst the teaching fraternity.

John
Make sure you turn LEFT when you leave Blackpool
