if you support Burnley and you find it difficult to accept diverse opinions, then you aren't really a football fan. The admirable Rowls has done a similar thing on at least two occasions in the past.

A couple of years ago he took a sabbatical to travel to Eastern Europe to find out whether or not Marshall Tito was more of an alcoholic than Winston Churchill. He then took the time out to travel west in the quest of discovering if Gore Vidal was actually a hairdresser at some stage.

On both occasions he returned as a more informed and wisened individual.

Whether the same thing will happen in this case remains to be seen.
