I imagine one or two us of a certain vintage will be shedding a tear for this fella on Sunday.

Broke our hearts at the Hawthorns that night and perhaps we overlook that Uwe was as lionhearted for Swindon as he was for us. Third Division Swindon topped Arsenal 3 - 1 at Wembley when the Competition was taken seriously by most teams, making Noble a League Cup Winner.

One of my favourite all time Burnley players. A skillful no frills player who always gave 100%. I bet his family will be proud tomorrow, hope they are there to see the respect he will get.

I like many others will have been unable to pay our respects as the Cortege passed the Turf at 1-30pm today, but he was in my thoughts and hope someone can update us all on the turnout for 'Uwe'.

Lots of very good memories of Uwe. At a time when many players seemed to give 100%, Peter always gave that little bit more.
His 4 goals against Norwich, having scored a hat-trick in the previous home game, should have got more recognition than it did. Not many players can score 4 and still not walk away with more than a point.

Whenever anyone down south asks me about our better previous players he always one of the first to spring to mind. Always felt safe when he was playing because he always gave everything.

One of my all time favourite Clarets. Can't be there today as still in Kent today. Any update from the Turf would be appreciated.
The one thing that I will always remember about Peter was not even about football.
When my Dad collapsed suddenly one day in a large group of people, Peter was the first person to come and help me and my brother. I will never forget that.

Decent turn out for him today. Really nice touch taking the funeral cortège past his photo on the Jimmy Mac Stand before it emerged on Harry Potts Way.

I've had his picture, a football card from 74, on my desk beside the pc for over a week now... My own family, Burnley crazy as they know I am, even they pay their respect by not teasing me

The first player I remember from a match.... my grandad pointed him out at at corner saying to watch him attack the ball.... and he did. Things that stick in your head. The photo says a lot.
