The Police have asked people to stay away though.

This is wierd. If this was terrorism we've usually got preliminary casualty reports by now. But then if it was something like a ballon popping next to a microphone which caused a panicked stampede then we'd have expected some numbers by now too.

fyi: The picture being bandied around on Twitter of what looks like blast damage through 3 swing doors isn't a picture from tonight. That's just some people being dicks.

Update. Both are OK. My heart breaks for those that haven't made it. They both say they are certain kids have died. Like I say it could be confusion however I really hope it is not true.

Balloons filled with flammable/explosive gas would have been very unlikely to have got a safety certificate!

However there are quite a few potentially explosive objects in a bar such as gas cylinders for the pumps.

This is a video of the explosion (not graphic). The Manchester Arena is on the left. That's not a small blast and with the amount of damage there must be there's surely no way police can be anywhere near to ruling out terrorism.
