Another manager leaves, speculated that he's returning to Portugal but Palace & Watford are supposedly keen.

Off to manage Porto from what I've read.

You would have to give KRBFC credit here for recognizing how good a manager Silva is.

Porto are a massive club.

Perhaps give him the same credit he would give Dyche had we been done at home by Sunderland in a must win game and then rolled over at Palace in a last chance match to stay up.

Surely no manager with a choice would go to Watford. At Palace, for all their manager turnover, you can at least expect that if you do well you will keep the job. Watford sack their managers even after a good season.

He managed to move Hull a phenomenal two places up the league table.

If he can achieve just a single place improvement at Porto he'll be a hero.

If you extrapolated the points Hull got under Silva across the whole season they'd have finished above us.

But they'd still have had a worse away record!

and if you extrapolated our home form across a full season then we would have (possibly) been in Europe.

Football doesn't work like that though and you have to attribute some of their (early) upturn in form to having a new manager.

Appears he's agreed a two year deal with Watford.

Seems like a decent manager. Shame if he goes to Watford as they look seriously poor and would be one of my bets for relegation otherwise.

He might do the double and go down twice.

I would have serious concerns about him having seen him on the touchline at Palace. When his team needed support and encouragement he had his head bowed and hands in pockets giving the impression he'd rather not be there. There are times when you need to get a positive response from your manager.

Won more points than Dyche since he took over with a worse team and less resources. A side given no chance before a ball was kicked and lost their two best players in January. He did a hell of a job to even give them a fighting chance. Excellent use of the loan market.

Couldn't get the better of Dyche though could he.
Battle and war won by Dyche.

How? The game was 1-1 unless you mean Dyche avoided relegation and Silva didn't which is delusional rubbish.

Got relegated with a whimper, too.

Surely that's factual and not delusional, KR?

Must win for Hull, Dyche did the business.
Dyche 2 Silva 0

Factual yes but delusional to say "Dyche got the better of him" for a number of reason including Dyche was there for a full season unlike Silva.

I think it'll be a good appointment for Watford, but his last two games at Hull and the nature of those defeats would leave a couple of questions marks against him for me.

His one job was to keep Hull in the Premier league and he failed.
Must win game against Burnley - failed.
Must win game against Sunderland -got beat at home.
Then got their arses handed to them embarrassingly.

No thanks. Be surprised if he lasted the full season at Watford.

He's probably got his eyes on a bigger PL job, if he does well over the next couple of seasons any of the bigger clubs would be interested. I don't mean your United or Chelsea etc but depending what happens something like Arsenal, Everton, Spurs?

You keep banging on about how cheap these loan players are, but never provide your evidence. I would have assumed the loan players were being paid fortunes - I'm not saying you;re wrong, but where's your evidence that they were so cheap?
