The persecution Christians are facing in Egypt is absolutely atrocious but, of course is hardly being highlighted at all by the politically correct press.
It's bordering on genocide now the rate they are being attacked and killed.

Jeremy Corbyn has quite correctly called on the Egyptian Coptic Christians to immediately withdraw their troops from Libya. He has also pointed out that Greek imperialism in Afghanistan is the reason why the otherwise peace-loving Bangladeshi Muslims had a statue removed under threat of violence and that the famous 'Gay Brigade' of Syrian rebels are the reason why homosexuals have been publicly caned in Aceh this week...

Gunmen attack bus carrying Coptic Christians in Egypt, kill 26
Unknown gunmen have attacked a bus carrying Coptic Christians in southern Egypt, leaving dozens of causalities.

According to initial reports, at least 26 people, including children, have been killed and over two dozen others wounded in the attack, which took place in Egypt’s southern Minya Province on Friday.

The attack came after church bombings in December and April claimed by the Daesh group that killed dozens of Egypt's Coptic Christians. The Takfiri terrorists have threatened more attacks against the Arab country's Christian minority.

Minya’s provincial governor, Essam al-Bedaiwy, said the group was traveling in two buses and a truck to the St. Samuel Monastery when it came under attack.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for Friday's attack.

Egypt’s Coptic Christians have been the target of several terrorist attacks in the past months.

Two deadly church bombings in Alexandria and Tanta took more than 45 lives in April.

Nearly 30 people were killed in the Daesh-claimed attack on a church in the capital Cairo in December.

The Takfiri terrorist group has vowed that it would continue to target Christians, who make up about one tenth of Egypt's population of more than 92 million.

Google 'Guardian Coptic' and around 15 Guardian articles on Coptic Christians being persecuted in Egypt come up from the last year or two.

You're talking rubbish again.

Yes but you have to search for them, they are not all over the place on social media which is where it really counts.

They are published in a national newspaper and on its website. The Guardian link to their stories multiple times on social media.

As I say, you're talking rubbish again.

So first you complaing about the "politically correct press" not reporting on it, and then when someone shows you that the most politically correct of press agencies has over a dozen articles about the thing you say they're not reporting on you decide to complain about how it's not appearing on social media because that's where it counts.

Are the wheels on your goalposts motorised?

I said it was hardly being highlighted, which is correct. They aren't pushing this news what so ever. If you have to search for something word for word it may as well not even be out.

Do you get extra virtue points for suggesting people are happy that other people died?
For Christ's sake, just give over

You are making it up as you go along. First you say it"is hardly being highlighted at all by the politically correct press". Then when someone proves it is, you state it is not being shared on social media. Well, that is not the presses fault - if you want to share it on social media you can.

And now you state "They aren't pushing this news what so ever. If you have to search for something word for word it may as well not even be out.". Is it really so hard to enter in your browser "theguardian.com" then click on "world news" and you will see their headline is "Gunmen kill 26 people in latest attack on Coptic Christians in Egypt".

They can't make it any more simple for you.

It's difficult keeping up. I'm having to switch my profile pic a couple of times a day at the moment.

About as many as I have French or German or Belgian, but then I don't go for all this changing my profile pic to be trendy.

Then again I realise that the question wasn't aimed at me. :)

The unfortunate thing is people of differing religions will be praying for the victims whilst completely missing the irony.

Jihadis were doing what they do best spreading peace with over 1300 butchered in 25 different countries last month, you could have had a different flag for every day if it was a leap leap leap year, could have kept your virtue topped up and overflowing.

The irony that the instructions from a god of a religion is the inspiration behind the slaughter in the first place maybe?

But the instruction is not from the "god of a religion" is it? And neither Allah, who wrote the Islamic rule book is not Allah, is he? Still missing the irony

It's been a couple of weeks. When are they going to start pushing new of Christian's slaughtering Muslims in the Central Affrican Republic? Or is your outrage only one directional?

I am confused.
Is this the same attack where 10 people have died in a church....and two others in a separate incident?
i.e. half the death toll of the thread's title?
Why has it been doubled?
I do hope we are not sensationalising tragic event(s).
