Full lineup announced, with stage times.

http://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/l ... 017/?stage

The question is: If you were going, who would you see?

Not much...

Radiohead, The National, Moonlandingz, Flaming Lips, British Sea Power.

I'd just get off my nut and find some hippies, if there are any still there.

Katy Perry? Seriously?

Radiohead are brilliant live.

Foo Fighters I would watch, A guy Called Gerald on the Friday to re-live the youth not much else stands out, maybe a drunk sing song to the bootleg beatles then just spend the rest of the festival drinking if I was there

radiohead, then spend the rest of the weekend wherever it takes me. (with definite detour to sasha and digweed on saturday)

would go and see solange as well but the bigger stages aren't that great tbh.

katy perry will be 8-) .

It's really not my thing (I'm a bit old!), but having looked at what's available I'd definitely see Difford & Tilbrook from Squeeze and also watch Jools Holland (of similar genealogy as it happens). And there's no King Pleasure and the Biscuit Boys. Very disappointing!

Shouldn't that be mansplaining at speakers corner?

The Black Dyke Band on the Pyramid stage seems a strange old end to a festival.

Good question.

Pyramid stage: Radiohead, Kris Kristofferson, Foo Fighters and Biffy Clyro. Maybe Craig David if I was really hammered.

Other stage: The Pretenders, Kaiser Chiefs, British Sea Power, Courteeners and Rag 'N' Bone Man

Only just realised how many other stages there are. Probably won't go through all of them, haha.

I've never been to Glastonbury, but I'm certain that I'd have an amazing time there. Just had a look at that lineup and I'd go to:

Friday
Hospital Records Takeover
Ride
Jamie Jones
Anderson.Paak
Radiohead
Goldie
A Guy Called Gerald
And then I'd watch Holy Mountain.

Saturday
John McDonnell
Then there's a clash of Badbadnotgood and Run the Jewels. I saw BBNG the other year and they were great, but I've been itching to see Run The Jewels since they released their first album, and they're pretty much the band that have excited me the most in about a decade.
Then I'd see Stormzy
Solange (our lass plays her latest album in the car all the time, and it's really good)
Father John Misty
Then we have another clash. Phoenix, who I like and have seen before, and Foo Fighters, who I'm not properly into but I'd definitely appreciate their show. FF win, sod it.
Then there's another clash between Noisia and Joy Orbison. Noisia win. Pulverising DnB.

Sunday
Cassetteboy (been a fan since the Parker Tapes, and would love it if they dropped some bangers off that)
Dropkick Murphys
London Elektricity
Bootleg Beatles/Forest Swords
Jagwar Ma
Jamie XX
Fabio & Grooverider with GQ. Sounds like a DnB greatest hits set. Sounds amazing.
Roni Size
Nicky Blackmarket

Seems strange, but I've not heard of a single one of those.

I'm not going but I do like watching it on the TV. Unfortunately, this years looks like one of the weakest line ups in a long time. :(

Edit: IMO

Edit : I take it all back as iv'e just noticed that Kiefer Sutherland ( jack bower) is playing on the avalon stage on Sunday. Only problem is he overlaps Barry Gibb on the pyramid stage. Decisions decisions.

The only place you would find me if I had to go would be the arcadia tent. You actually couldn't pay me to go to Glastonbury though

Basically, yeah! Like, put a Simon and Garfunkel vinyl in a Nutribullet and you're basically listening to Napalm Death.

(I love Napalm Death, btw)

Arcadia is not a tent - it is a giant metal, fire breathing spider

For the ticket price it is unbelievable value - I can't wait
I'll watch people I would not normally go and see, depending on clashes/my state/the ground's state. The likes of Radiohead, Foos, Ed, courteeners, whichever Oasis brother plays, disco on Sunday for Barry Gibb into Chic, the punk stage with a friend for Dead Kennedys.

Then as a dance music fan the different areas are brilliant. The food is totally different to most festivals, although pricey. Throw in the hippy stuff and I am certain we will have a good time ;)

Been to Glasto 3 times.

Its the only festival I have been to where you can go and not see one band and still have an amazing time

You could arrive on Tuesday and leave before the main stages open on Friday...and still have a good time!

Jeremy Corbyn is apparently introducing RTJ on the main stage. 4.15 on Saturday. Crowd will be electric for that.

Hard to say. Radiohead definitely. the Foos are great live. But probably more looking to some smaller stages if I could. I notice a few bands I like there - BSP, Warpaint, Courteeners, Flaming Lips, Alt J, First Aid Kit. Sunday is definitely a wander round the smaller stages!!!

Foos, Biffy, Sleaford Mods, Run The Jewels.

I'm planning on going again for the 2nd time year after next and taking my boys for their first visit.

As for who I'd see this time, I'd just do what I did on my only visit, just wander around catching bits of lots of different bands, taking it all in.

I'd sacrifice my favourite limb to see Run The Jewels live at this point. I keep missing out every time they come around.

Who are Run The Jewels? A few posters on here want to see them, Comrade Jezza's introducing them and Squarepusher would give up a limb for them.

I've never even heard of them. Am I really that much out of touch?

It's ok, I've you tubed them. They're shite.

Visiting the link in the OP reminded me of putting a pound in a jukebox in town and shaking my head at the lack of choice, resulting in me having to select random tunes so I didn't waste my quid!

I saw Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel at Reading in August 1974. I guess I've heard of about 5% of the names, maybe fewer. Yes, I'm surprised by all the stages/pyramids/performance areas. And, what's all this about the "left field" stuff? Sounds like "cruel and unnatural" punishment after a "fun night" enjoying the music. :? :? ;)

I don't think I'll be putting Glasto on my bucket list.

I still wish I'd taken the chance to get to IoW in 1969.

No, he just has better taste in music than you. I'd never heard of them either but googled them and, yes, they are shite.

A most unpleasant looking bunch of fellows to boot. Just the sort of people you would expect Comrade Corbyn to be associated with.

Splendid. Another philistine.

TheFamilyCat will probably be disappointed that you're emasculating him by presuming to reserve the right to fight his battles for him. (Unless, of course, TheFamilyCat isn't disappointed that he's being emasculated?)

Side note; by what stretch of the imagination can a fat white bloke with a sci-fi obsession and a fat black bloke with a social conscience be considered 'unpleasant looking'?

I ******* hate using this board on my phone; I keep writing posts and when I hit 'submit' end up back at the log in page and invariably give up.

That happened earlier when replying to Dermotx2's post.

So, to clarify; my opinion has no political leaning; I've listened to them again and I'm sure they are shite.

As for being emasculated; **** knows what you're on about.
