I'm not a big lover of ice-cream but have recently discovered Haagen Dazs Salted Caramel. I just can't help going to the freezer for yet another spoonful
What is your favourite ice-cream?

Always been B&J's Cookie Dough, but as I am old I like more plain ice cream nowadays. I know it's not technically Ice cream but I have taken a liking to Joe Delucci's Coconut Gelato. Found it in Burnley Tesco when up to see my parents. I don't like Bounty's or anything overly coconutty, but would highly recommend it.

Local was always Slaters. Jim Ellis the local ice cream van always had a queue up the back street when he rang his chimes.
I am fortunate to have in laws in Devon and there is an abundance of lovely ice cream down there. A Special from Gays Creamery in Dawlish is a personal favourite, but there is also a cracking Blackcurrant and Clotted Cream Vanilla flavour sold at the Octagon on Exmouth sea front. A gorgeous mix of sharp fruit complimented with the creamy vanilla. Luckily I am heading to Devon on Friday evening for a friend's wedding at the weekend, so I may well just treat myself......

Same as you spades, that ice-cream is fantastic, first spoonful out of the tub where it oozes a load of the caramel sauce is incredible.
Also a fan of tescos own cherry and vanilla ice cream.

Haagen Dazs Chocolate Peanut Butter for me, but I do like variety... If anything highlights that people have very different tastes, it's Mint Choc Chip Ice Cream - yuk. Can anyone recommend a wine to go with it?

Tesco own brand raspberry and white chocolate cornettoes.
Four for a quid, and surprisingly good.

I was once accused of being an ice cream snob because I preferred to buy mine from a farm in Gisburn (proper ice cream) than the stuff in the supermarket. I love ice cream, always have, but sadly is another item that shouldn't go in my shopping basket now and more often than not doesn't.
Favourite ice cream? Not keen in chocolate but other than that, any flavour whatsoever but if pushed I'd vote for salted caramel.
I did buy some diabetic ice cream recently to go with my jelly for the relegation party. It's crap.

Cece's vanilla from yester year. Nothing I have tried since (and vanilla is my favourite) has surpassed the Cece recipe.

Good un KK. I used to love these when I was a kid, particularly where the ice cream near the bottom became infused with the flavouring of the bubble gum.

There always used to be 2 or 3 ice cream vans came round our end when I was a kid. Sometimes one would turn up 5 minutes after the first and we would tell him one's already been.
If we were playing out and heard the chimes, there was a scatter as everybody ran inside for some money for an ice cream. Gutted was when you had taken too long and got back out only to find you were too late, he'd gone. Made worse by everyone else enjoying theirs. A proper friend would break the bottom of their cone off and make you a small one from their ice cream.
My favourite ice cream man was Mr Whitewell. None of the soft machine rubbish, proper ice cream placed on a cone with a big wooden spoon.
