I wonder if the Venky's Out mob will be planning any publicity stunts for this?
Sure to be something that will really hit them where it hurts - maybe handing out leaflets will do the trick.

Why don't Burnley ever host any concerts? Would bring loads of money into the local economy.

I was at The Stoop, Twickenham (Harlequin's stadium) on Saturday (night). A very good 2 hour show, 7pm until just after 9pm (Elton is 70, after all. And, I was glad to be home early with London Bridge incident a little later). Elton's first performance since his health scare a few weeks back (cancelled the rest of that part of his tour).
The Times review (today) gave the show 3 out of 5. I'd score it 4 stars (and a little bit of spangles). We were all up and dancing to Crocodile Rock. I Want Love was dedicated to Manchester Arena bombing. Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me had all the crowd singing.
It might be the best show at Ewood this year. Recommend you go if you get the chance.

Yes.
I wish I could recall the full play list.
The band were dressed in smart business suits. The drummer (actually I think there were two on drums.... I was in the South Stand, a bit like guessing what was happening in the goal mouth at the JM end...from the back row of the CF) looked like he was Elton's accountant.

Got tickets and looking forward to it.
Not everyday you get to see someone like his perform a few miles away, even if it does mean operating behind enemy lines.

My GF got tickets and I decided to go with. Partly because as mentioned before, seeing a legend so close to home and at his age is a good opportunity. And partly because I have a handful of Sean Dyche stickers that I intend to paste around Ewood

Elton John at Ewood - how long will we be above them in the league - two thoughts in my head this morning and Elton has given me the answer to that question. Just been listening to Rocket Man and the answer is:
And I think it's gonna be a long long time

Was umming and aahing about going but as a previous poster rightly pointed out it's not often you get the chance to see a performer of EJ's calibre so close to home.
Just been on stub hub and ordered 2 tickets in the JW stand - really looking forward to it now - just hope we get there before those 10 men and their dog (Spot) make a mess

My Mrs has gone. She was worried about what footwear to wear. I told her not to worry if there were no boards down as the pitch would be in pristine condition, for very good reason. It's had a never ending supply of shite on it all season.

Top night. To be performing a two hour set with that enthusiasm at his age is pretty impressive, and his voice belies his years. He can certainly tinkle those ivories too. Glad to have seen him and to see the folk of Blackburrrrrrn smiling for once.

Absolutely fantastic evening behind enemy lines. A great show and a great atmosphere.
I don't think Ewood will see crowds like that for some time.
Heavy police presence but I guess that's to stop the locals escaping.
2 of Shadsworths finest removed the the crowd during Rocket Man.

Great show and Elton showed what a top class musician and performer he is.
Always thought he was an ok but not great singer but the vocals were spot on tonight.
Highlight for me was the extended version of Rocketman with a spellbinding piano solo intro.
