Despite his obvious limitations you have to admit Corbyn is a very good campaigner, albeit a bit creepy.

Imagine if he gets in and stays in long enough to start introducing all the things he, Diane and John have campaigned for during 40 years when everyone else told them to shut up or grow up. It'll be a lot more interesting than the campaign I tell thee.

Rather than having loads of extra Plod wandering around I'd rather have a proactive intelligence led force that is flexible enough to react to the fast changing criminal environment.

We need more subcontractors who are specialists in areas like accounting and cyber tech to assist the police, custody officers, admin, IT, HR, etc don't need tone "police" they just need good.

Community policing is one of the major ways intelligence is gathered. The Police Federation made this point to Theresa May in 2015 when she was cutting them. She responded by calling them scaremongers and saying they were crying wolf.

By Community Policing do you mean PCSO? And "neighbourhood teams"?

I partly agree Lancaster, but there's nothing fresh about Corbyn's ideas. They've been tried before, but not recently in the Western world (maybe Greece apart).

I don't know which part of his manifest you are reading Guich, but 95% of it is bang normal for every other country in Europe.

The state has to play a part in everything, and you can't keep cutting the stuff that keeps us all safe, and then claim that the other guy is a security risk.

We need public services of course; but there will always be disagreement on how much we should spend, how much we should borrow, where there is waste and where there is shortage. As always the answer tends to lie in the middle and not at the two extremes.

The choice we have is a (previously) centrist Tory who is pretending to be further right, and an extreme left novice who is pretending to be kind and charming.

having seen a lot of the political views on here and watching lots of question time etc I am almost at the same view of my mother inlaw. She has voted conservative all her life, but feels that she is at a cross roads her statement made sense to me '' how can you vote for a woman with legs like she has there to thin difficult to support some one who looks like she cant stand on her feet to do a full days work, but when I look at the alternative I am going to have to vote for her'' . So forget all the politics the back stabing etc just vote for a person who looks like they are able to do a full days graft stood up.
Should add My mother in law was a hairdresser owned her own business and brought up 2 children and her ageing perents, she is 84 and still helps lookng after her great grandchildren 2 days per week and brings sunday evening meal round to us every week.

Cool, then vote for the Greens or the Lib Dems, or even UKIP then.

That's the problem Lanc - neither of the two possible options are particularly attractive. But as we become more polarised the tendency is to vote against the one you dislike the most.

Personally think she's dead in the water whatever happens come Thursday/Friday, and hopefully the Coners are as well for many years to come.

You hold your nose and vote for the option you don't like but who supports PR so that in future you won't have to hold your nose again while you vote.

IT - I know, but I also know that last time Lab got in, they didn't do anything about PR and they did everything they could to make sure STV failed as well.

You have an undesirable urge to defend Diane Abbot. She's ******* useless Hampstead. Better to be silent and thought a fool than to open ones mouth and prove it, is so apt for Abbot and her kind.

By all means vote Labour, I might even do myself because I have seen enough and heard enough to change some of my opinions in the last six weeks. But please don't defend incompetence. You come across as reasonably well informed and forthright in your views. By defending the likes of Abbot you can come across as brainwashed into voting Labour regardless.

Dianne Abbott was replaced by Emily Thornberry today on womans hour. I said a long time ago that I didn't like that Dianne had been given the role but does anyone else think she hasn't looked well. This could obviously be stress related but one can't argue that she hasn't performed well. I wouldn't be surprised if she steps down in the near future. As for May, I think she will be gone too.
