What a shambles it's been this morning. The new mascot and player escort packages went on sale at 11am but it's been one issue after another so far. From the website timing out, to pages not found and then asking you to log in before you can even view anything it's been an absolute joke.

I've been as far as having a player escort package for the Everton match in my basket with all details filled in as required to losing it due to IT issues. I'm furious. An hour and a half I've wasted on this. Can't help but think they should have waited a few days after fixture release rather than rushing it through this morning.

I'm amazed at £300 a pop. The site keeps crashing with popularity.

Who says there's no money in Burnley?

I'm not after a 300 quid package!! I'm looking at the player escort ones at 40 quid. A bit more doable!!

It's been taken down I think. The website clearly doesn't have the capacity to handle the amount of traffic.

Not sure when or if the people at the club responsible for the 'IT Systems' - including the website/store/ticketing - will ever realise that the current setup is somewhat lacking and could be vastly improved.

I have just wasted 2 hours trying to get Escort packages and even though I had them in my cart several times the system wouldn't let me purchase. A total farce!

After about 80 attempts to get through I finally did. Most games are sold out (Stoke, Watford, Brighton and Southampton were my options). The good news is I got through though so my lad will be walking out Vs Southampton next Feb. That's Christmas present number one sorted!!!

Yes what a shambles. I dragged myself out of bed at 4am in the US to get this done for my nephews and had exactly the same experience. After 2 hours I finally got a package into my cart and filled out a massive form... only to get an error message when I submitted it. And now they are saying "phone us up in the morning" ... so that's 2.30am and knowing Burnley they will have one phone line going and several hundred people trying to get through.

An absolute shambles from start to finish. Like you I had filled out the form and clicked proceed to payment when it crashed. I rang the club who said they were unable to help and just keep trying. After about 200 calls I got either the busy tone or the answer machine (obviously just one line available). My sister managed to get through eventually. At the close of play they had Swansea, Stoke and Watford left according to my sister who got through.

BFC should have tested their websites before asking people to apply online. They should have waited a couple of days. Not good public relations at all.

£300 is far too much imo & goes against the majority of fans. It's not far off the cost of a season ticket - for ONE game

I remember the days when becoming a mascot was from a draw of the Junior Clarets members.
