England v Pakistan

Post by Bordeauxclaret » Wed Jun 14, 2017 1:54 pm

England up against it today, 201 for 8 in 48th over.

Not looking good at the moment.

The Welsh have shown how much they hate the English by preparing a pitch to suit Pakistan.

We have batted poor though.

I'm not confident in our bowling to defend that. We desperately need early wickets.

They are just discussing the pitch. Apparently the same one used a couple of days ago.

Yes a poorish batting performance, middle order and tail collapse familiar to all who have played club cricket - once one goes, others rapidly follow including the odd run out!

Rashid has to step up to the plate today. Conditions in his favour.

Let's hope we turn it around.

We all saw Yorkshire choke yesterday, with 4 of their players in today let's hope it's not a case of deja vu.

A tournament held in England dominated by sides from the sub continent with Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and England (on the brink) failing to make the final.

Pakistan 95-0 after 16 overs. No contest. Always happen when we build our teams up.

Wonder what odds the bookies were offering on England failing to hit a single 6 in 50 overs?

Poor batting, indifferent bowling, inadequate wicketkeeping, anything else?!

That's what you get for adopting a fearless attacking approach.

Unable to hit a single ball for 6 in 50 overs.

I am now beginning to really question the plausibility of the contributions offered by this poster.
