Do clubs have to give decent away tickets to traveling fans instead of sticking them up in the gods...........otherwise us 3.000 at white hart wemberley may well just get the back row top tier right round the stadium!

Away fans need to be at "pitch level"

Which will make the arrangements at Newcastle interesting

Hope the powers that be at Burnley don't agree to fixture swap. We are home on 23rd Dec and think it's a cracking time to play them up here. Away on that date and home in summe months not as appealing. Just say no!

So clubs have to spend money on ground developments like floodlights and advertising and other such bullshit but don't to when it is to benefit fans in the ground.

In case anyone was still in any doubt how important fans are to football.

Can we refuse a swap and just have the game postponed and rescheduled? Not sure it would be the best idea, especially after how the Liverpool switch worked out for us but is it an option?

And will they send us a **** full back if we do swap?

We would all agree a swap in a heart beat if we could have Tripps on loan as a sweetener.

Due to Wembley being absolutely the worst place in the country to get to, will we sell our allocation?

3000? Really?

If the fixture isn't reversed could it be moved to 5/6 of September? There isn't any champions league games that week I don't think, but I'm unsure if the league cup has a round then. If it isn't then with Tottenham being in Europe it may not be played until close to Christmas.

Wembley is ok compared to Swansea, Bournemouth, Torquay, Exeter, Gillingham. Palace, Millwall, Brighton, West Ham, Norwich, Ipswich and many more.

I bet we will easily sell 3,000 tickets unless they move us to a daft kick off time.

Nothing yet. All we know for certain is that we won't be playing them at Wembley on Sat 26th August.

So, there's definitely something else on at Wembley on the 26th August.
Is that correct CT?
I'm planning a holiday around this match!

Thanks

There is a rugby match at Wembley on 26th, I believe the Challenge Cup final, so no chance it will be on the Saturday and probably not the Sunday either. It will either move to TV game on the Monday night or moved to a midweek game later on in the season in my opinion. If the game was going to be switched to Turf like the Liverpool game last season this would surely have been announced by now?

Yeah, I reckon it'll be on MNF. No reason why they can't turn the pitch round in that time. With a bit of effort they might even make the Sunday afternoon.

It won't be Monday as that will be classed as International week I think.

If people want to watch muscular working class northern and australian men deliberately making forceful contact with each other, then they should visit Canal Street rather than Wembley.

Just seen on twitter that it will take place on Sunday 27th August at 4pm.

No trains to or from Euston though that weekend sadly

On the subject of the original schedule, presumably there's a reason Rugby League teams aren't allowed to play at Twickenham?

Yes. have to go via Leeds or Sheffield, takes about 3 1/2 hours to Kings cross which is prob better for Wembley as direct tube.

Trains back to normal on Monday at midday for those staying over

You can still get down via Leeds on the train (they go into Kings Cross, doesn't take much longer than going via Manchester/Preston).

Don't think you'd be able to get a train back up on the Sunday though (well you could get to Leeds and probably Tod at a scrape).

We went to the evening kick off (4-1 cup semi) and had to park in a supermarket car park in Walthamstow then take the tube to seven sisters. how is there not a closer station?

Had to leave in the 80th minute to get a cab back to the car as the car park closed at 10. I've had no problems at wembley, other than it being extremely busy getting out.

Yep. There's some grounds which it are easier to get to by parking near a tube/rail station and then hopping on a train for a bit. WHL was pretty sh1te either way, although it's years since I went there. Wembley tube trains end up in Watford with lots of little stations on the way along. That works ok for Palace, Millwall (although there's a bit of a walk for those from the station) too from the list above.

Showing a Brighton away ticket will get you a free train ride if you park in (say) Newhaven or Seaford or Glynde and then jump on a train. Easy (although a bit of a pain afterwards to get back to Lewes). Ipswich I always found ok. Gillingham, I agree is awful whatever you do. You just need to get there stupidly early. Never been to Torquay or Norwich, but I'd add the new Stoke ground onto the list and now Chesterfield as they've stopped you parking in Tesco's - which I always had done, and then paid my dues by doing a bit of shopping there.

Just noticed that Chelsea were only given 3,000 tickets for their upcoming league game vs Spurs at Wembley.

Although given that the demand for home tickets for that game would be significantly higher than ours maybe there is a slim chance we would be offered more...?

I'm guessing our tickets will be going on sale imminently anyway?

Don't think anyone will get more than 3000 all season.

Interesting that Chelsea tickets are on sale to any season ticket holder and probably go on sale to non season ticket holders as well. So much for impossible to get away tickets for games.

Will be surprised if we manage to shift 3 thousand tickets for Spurs now with the timing and lack of trains between Manchester and Euston.

We haven't got them yet but there is a designated away section that holds 3,000 so can't see how we would get more.

Be amazed if we don't sell out.....early in the season, bank hols, Trippier to applaud briefly, £30 a ticket.......I'm more concerned about getting on Accy Clarets for the day!

Not sure about that. Accy Clarets are taking 3 coaches and the last time we took more than 2 coaches to a London game was in the Play-offs (when we took 21!).

I think they will all get snapped up. Our usual group of 6-10 usually have no problem getting enough 5k Clarets numbers, however 18 have shown interest this time, it will be 2 people's first ever Burnley game!

Has it been announced when tickets go on sale for Spurs? Only 20 days 'til game. I can't see anything on Burnley FC.

I'm booked for Girl from the North Country on Saturday night at the Old Vic. New play - with a dozen or so Bob Dylan songs. There both matinee and evening on Sat - and you may also be able to make Sunday evening at 7:30 - for anyone thinking of making it bank holiday w/end in London.
