Radio Lancs getting very excited as Rovers announce the BIG signing of Bradley Dack from Gillingham for a surprising £750,000. Yes that's right a whole £750,000

Where's the money coming from, and who's paying his wages?
VENKYS OUT!

160 league games in 5yrs for Gillingham, in league 2 and then 1.

23 yrs old so in theory they'll get their money back for him if he improves.

So those stories of Rovers possibly being placed under an embargo or having to slash their wage bill were not true then?

Excellent player at that level, had a poor year last season after winning the best player in L1 the year before.

They haven't submitted their books yet for league inspection, or the review hasn't been done and it's usually announced in November/December.

The same thing was said by Blackburn fans when they signed Murphy, Etuhu and Best on big money. Look what happened there.

Excellent signing
Mowbray has a great chance of getting Rovers in top 6

Look at Bolton last season.

Clearly massively over budget, but they were only there for a season.

As long as Rovers don't hang around (here's hoping!) in that division they will be fine.

Strange owners though, maybe they have started to listen to people who have an idea what is going on?

How are they strange? Do you think Coyle asked for any money last season from them? Or do you think he told them what they wanted to hear in order to get himself one last payday???!!

Typical Blackburn, trying to buy promotion :)

I bet Saxo is jizzing himself now.

Despite them being "an established Premier league club"

I still reckon they'll miss out on a Champions League place!

Well it's usually payable over the course of a contract, so 1/4 million per year? Also, they're about to get some cash when Mahoney signs for Bournemouth.

People may mock but a couple of years back I remember him being tenuously linked with us as 'one for the future'. After his one off season.
