Season ticket enquiry

Hi clarets, does anyone know if you can cancel a season ticket? I pay by direct debit now but I have just got a new job which unfortunately means working saturdays. Is it even worth cancelling as would make Sunday and midweek games hopefully, or would I be better paying on gate when I can.

You'll need to sit down and work out what games you can attend as the fixtures stand I suppose.
Until you do that it isn't worth doing anything else.

Don't think you can cancel because you have already purchased the ticket and are now in debt to the finance company
If you work every Saturday then you'll almost certainly lose out but ring the ticket office and see what they say would be my advice

There is no finance if it was done on the early bird, its all dealt with by the club.

That's right, if you cancel your direct debit they'll just cancel your season card as far as I'm aware.

There could be a few Saturday games becoming Sunday games but there's only 1 midweek home game I think so will probs be 6 at most. Thanks I will ring ticket office tomorrow anyway.

Ring the ticket office, explain the situation and they might move some of the games for you.

This was my situation for years but after retiring I didn't miss a single home game last season.
When I decided not to renew I was always able to get a ticket when I could attend so unless you are rich I would bin it off

Slightly away from the thread topic, however.
Yesterday I received my tickets through the post for the Friendly against Hannover 96. I was under the impression they would be loaded onto our season cards. Has any other ST holders got physical tickets through ?

I've just forwarded that information to the club but if you've received that then use the actual ticket.

Also slightly off topic, I think it was established some while ago on here, that to be
eligible for a "senior citizens" season ticket, you have to be 65 before the season starts. I
think this was confirmed earlier this month in a thread when CT applied for his "senior citizen"
ticket for this coming season.
I will be 65 in October, so fall within the above scenario.
If that's the case, what is the situation when buying single match tickets on a match by match basis
after my birthday ? Does the above ruling still stand, or will I get concessionary rates ?
I know I can ring the ticket office, but I thought I would keep the thread going a little longer.

I had an adult season ticket last season but qualified for concession prices for the FA Cup ties. The first was the Sunderland replay which came around five days after my 65th. Although the season ticket is based on age on 1st August, match tickets are based on when they are played so once you are 65 you can by match tickets at concession rate.

Cheers CT, that's clearly the way forward for me then until next season. I suppose the
downside is having to order each time and probably have a different seat each time. The
saving more than makes up for it I suppose.
I can't make my mind up if that's fair or not, but I'll take it anyway.

Can you not find a mate who would use it, for a small fee, on the days you can't make it.
I have a nice and her husband in Cork, who have season tickets for Old Trafford, they only ever make a quarter of the games, but the tickets always get used.
