Nixon suggesting a good chance of George Boyd joining Steven Fletcher, David Jones & Ross Wallace at Sheffield Wednesday.

A quarter of left footed players. Interesting to see what the Wednesday faithful think.

Good luck to him. Never lacked any effort here and would have been good to have had him for this season coming

For relative peanuts we maybe are making a mistake for a very good squad man. However if we are going to up our game then it should ok. Time will tell.

I really want somebody with his defensive qualities that can beat man.

I hope he gets them up next season, they've been knocking on the door long enough.
Unlike Derby they don't implode, just don't seem to have the luck.

Nothing against our ex-players, but I hope Wednesday fail. I don't like them.

He will, he tries too hard not to succeed.

I think we would all like someone with his defensive qualities who could beat a man. Trouble is if there was such a player he wouldn't be anywhere near our price bracket. Therein lies the problem. Brady for example looks like he might have more creativity but has been a liability at times in terms of giving the ball away trying a clever pass in the wrong area of the pitch and doesn't have the same defensive mindset as George. It all adds up to a massive close season. How do we improve on Boyd and Arfield without damaging the defensive framework? Massive challenge.

Free transfer for Boyd then. The lad has served the club to the best of his ability and always given his all

George deserves one final big money contact, which should set him up for life

I'd be very disappointed to see him go.

I'm sure he is already 'set up for life'. Can't see him driving a bus when he finishes playing.
