I am looking to go away on a city break some time in October with the wife.

Has anyone been to Hamburg and is it worth visiting? Is it worth spending 3 days there? Great deal with Ryan air at the moment. 18 quid return.

Also looking at Pisa Italy but again unsure if it's worth visiting for 3 days.

any other recommendations welcome

Cheers

Which airline is that with Inchy. I might have some of that. I love Hamburg. Superb city for a short break

Ryan air. If you go on skyscanner Manchester to anywhere, any time in October, Hamburg comes up as cheap as 18 quid

Hamburg is fabulous but can be bitter cold. Great food and shops etc

Visited Pisa on a stop off coming back from Florence on a day off our ship on a med cruise. Spent 2 hours in Pisa. Was nice enough and the leaning tower is something you should see, but once you've seen that and the church, you're pretty much done. IMO I wouldn't recommend it for a weekend break. Florence was impressive tho. Would go back there for a long weekend.

tuscany is brilliant and the two rail lines from Pisa and Lucca to Florence make travel easy. As said Pisa is half a day at best but worth it.
