The big news in the states tonight is the imminent parole hearing for OJ Simpson, due early tomorrow morning (late afternoon UK time).
Thoughts? Personally, I think he did his wife in and should be inside.......

Is he currently in prison for the murder of his wife?

If he didn't choke his wife, he definitely choked something recently

His wife, Nichole Brown Simpson, was stabbed to death; along with her companion Ron Goldman.

I know, i'm just saying his opinion doesn't matter. He was bankrupted by the wrongful death suit and his possessions repossessed. That's why they weren't his.

I know your Lordship, recently saw a thrilling four episode documentary on the guy. Delusions of grandure beyond doubt.

An absolutely vile and disgusting man who never showed remorse for his murders. He was found not guilty due to multiple failings by the prosecution and the intense division between black and whites in downtown LA at the time. He was found accountable for the deaths of Ron and Nicole two years later and found various ways of failing to pay the money he owed in damages for their deaths.
I hope he rots on the inside forever.

He will become accountable for the murders in time. Anyone with any intellect knows he was guilty. We are talking about a country here that voted in Trump and has a lot of underlying issues.

The ESPN documentary series OJ Simpson: Made in American is superb.
Edit - one of the jurors from the murder trial is interviewed and brazenly admits to voting not guilty to get her own back for the notorious killings and beatings of black Americans by white police officers occurring during the same period.

"The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story" was very good. Well worth a watch just to see how much of a fiasco the trial really was. There were no other suspects in the case and all evidence pointed directly to OJ. It all came down to the race card and that must have been sickening for the families of the victims. At least he was found accountable for their deaths at a later date, but the trial was a complete and utter disgrace.

He was found not guilty, what is he supposed to show remorse for? Whatever happened to "innocent until proven guilty". The gloves didnt fit....

His trial was compelling `rubber necking` stuff. It was a pre-cursor to the almost voyeuristic darkness of TV news and `the public need to know` coverage nowadays.
The British nanny was pretty soon after. Imagine those two trials NOW???????? TV porn...

Guy stretched his hands to make the gloves look too small. I watched the trial every night. He did it.

The main police prosecution witness admitted he lied. There may have been other reasons, but that was one of the main reasons he was acquitted. The civil case that followed later found that on balance of probabilities he did it, which is a lower standard of proof.

I saw virtually every minute of the court case at the time - including stuff that the jury didnt see hear. He was as guilty as hell for the murders.

Always loved the lyrics from the Eminem track - Role Model
Me and Marcus Allen went over to see Nicole
When we heard a knock at the door, must've been Ron Gold
Jumped behind the door, put the orgy on hold
Killed them both, then smeared blood on the white Bronco

Good behaviour etc reduces his sentences by up to 50% so 33 - 16 and a bit would leave 7 years left, I reckon he'll get parole.

I think a judge later decreed the memorabilia did belong to OJ after all.
